I'll pay the person who gets me away from Runescape <-- I sereously need help!

in The Pub at MMORPG.COM
Since it is against the rules to give away my level 103 Runescape, I will just give 5m gold to the person who finds me a game to get me out of Runescape.

The game can be FREE or PAY... but If its pay I want a demo first!

Things a game would have to have to hold my interest:

- Quests
- Lots of skills or professions including Crafting! <--- A big one!!!
- Modern graphics... Nintendo 64 graphics in today's MMORPG's is just unacceptable. Runescape is different because they use solid colors instead of textures which makes it more then acceptable.
- A community bigger then the developer's brother and his three friends.

Anyone think they know a game? Contact me or post here!

    Try looking through the list of games that are conveniently posted on this website and reading the reviews. Thats the first step.

    I am looking right now, I just thought that I would post first and read responces when I got back

    I got up extra early today to make sure I would find a different game to pull my usual saturday all nighter with! lol

    Tetris?image, no joking, you should try Guild Wars but it's instanced so you wouldn't see people out of town.

    Guild wars is very nice.  I play it on the side, lol.

    If I dont find a game for tonight, thats what I will probably end up playing.

    The only thing I dont like about Guild Wars is... No Crafting and it seems to push you towards PvP and I am not at all a PvP type of person.  I enjoy the finer points of games like Roleplaying, Quests, and Tradeskills.

    rappelz.gpotato.com-nice has a pet system but sux compared to eudemons one.Good graphics but grind got to me fastimage

    He just said he DOES NOT like PvPing, EudemonsOnline is the biggest free PK game ever made!

    I recommand MapleStory:

    Pros:
    many people playing
    you need trade skills
    has weapons/armour upgrading (with scrolls etc)
    many many quests you can enjoy to do!
    in my opinion one of the best games where you can have fun with your m8s

    I especially recommend Saga of Ryzom for you.. I recommend it a lot to a lot of people but for you I strongly recommend it. It's the only game where I actually enjoyed crafting. You'll have fun poking around trying to harvest the right materials for that perfect color/stat combination.

    Very subjective best MMO list:
    Saga of Ryzom, Anarchy Online, Lineage 2, WoW

    Age of Conan, Aion, Lineage 3

    From what you described, I'd personally recommend either World of Warcraft or Everquest 2.

    Although, based on what you are looking for, I'd recommend EQ2.  It has more quests then a person could ever do, has 24 classes to play, and has fairly in depth crafting.

    As bad as the game was when it launched, it has been improved significantly. I think alot of posters on this forum will admit(Even if they profess they hate SOE), that it really is one of the better MMO's out there right now.

    Also, if you buy the Echos of Faydwer expansion, you get all the expansions that have been released and the original EQ2 for 1 price.

    There is a free trial as well, just head to the EQ2 website for the details.

    Ok so let me get this straight you want someone to ween you off of Runescape and in exchange for suggesting another game for you to try you will punish them by giving them Runescape gold?

    However if your in the market for a new MMO give Anarchy Online a try it's fantastic and it's free until you decide you have to play the Shadowlands and Alien Invasion expanson. On a side note they are releasing a new expansion for it called Lost Eden which should make the game even more exciting.

    Final Fantasy XI.  It's like 99% PvE, tons of different kinds of crafting, and to make it even better, 1 character can be EVERY profession :)

    Give me 40 bucks a month and I will let you play any game made by SOE for free. ^_^ Well as long as it is in their payment plan. You can play like 7 games for 30 bucks a month.
