    Nothing wrong with NCsoft

    I played the korean version. Imo, Its fun for a while, but not much longer. it basicly Gunz with Mechs, although its graphics are better, the gameplay in Gunz is better. The game is also doing VERY poor in Korea. Its hard to get into a game at times.

    Gunz was a fairly fun game to play. Although i got turned off by all the hacks and powerlevellers. i've signed up for the Exteel beta, lets see how it is :)

    Same gave them my email address since thats all they asked for. I personally didn't mind gunz but as you had said, the hackers and powerlevellers had taking control and killed it utterly.

    Well they are publishing it, its intended to be free & "action-type multiplayer game". Which means its a fps (probably like Gunz online) so it wont be much to write about when compared to even old versions of Unreal Tournament- & Quake-series.

    First of all, exteeel is in closed beta, how is it doing bad if it isnt even released to teh public. You clearly havent played exteel cause you wouldnt know, once it goes open beta, it will have zero trouble keeping up with other games in its genre.

    NCSoft is doing a very good job keeping up lineage 2, while it does have bots that is a limitation of the engine lineage 2 operates on, lineage 2 is an old game, yet they are still releasing massive chronicles(expansions) for it every few months as they promised, for free.

    People need to stop trashing companies because they have had one bad exprience. I myself have played every mmo out there today, and the ones that have kept me longer then 6 months all belong to ncsoft, with the except of Final Fantasy, WoW, and EQ2.

    2 words.. GUILD WARS, personally i hate guild wars, doesnt stop it from running the charts right now, and that doesnt cause me to run aroun trashing the company because i do not like the game.

    Only ONE, count it, ONE nc soft game has a bot problem, and like i said, limitations of the engine. Exteel will be free to play, and its genre is inline with warrock, gunz, infinity online, etc.. and i assure you, after playing this game for a good while, i can say with confidence this game will have zero trouble.

    Karma.. what nonsense, only bad karma ncsoft has is trying to play retards of which they refere to as their playerbase.. but then again every game company has to deal with that.

    Me i'm the exact opposite on this.  Played the Korean version and still play it even now.  I find it far more enjoyable then Gunz, and less laggy.

    I play the NCsoft version, but im not posting any screen, there is lag however, because there are only easy and west servers and players from germany lag it up as usual. Or people with just overall shitty connections.

    The training was great, but when you actually play.... it stinks.
    Servers are sometimes laggy, Gunz is much better.. in my opinion.

    Exteel is a game like Gunz , if ure bored , go and play one or two rounds until u figure out what to do next , thats it , nobody told here that Exteel will own the MMO market or anything like that , i just post this game because in in beta and here is where people post stuff about games in beta stage .

    so please dont bash the game , its not even out yet , and still , its better than other free games of these genre (not MMOs)

    i swear i posted in here before, either way, Exteel is a very good game to play every so often for short periods of time, im currently in the beta for it and im enjoying it.

    I think this looks like a very cool game.  Has soem pretty good graphics and battles are probably awesome

    Exteel is ok, but i got bored fast.

    Its a little laggy, and the targetting system is poor. You have to be "locked on" to hit, and you cannot dodge if your locked onto.

    I prefer to play dungeon runners for fun, and gunz for gameplay.

    I love this game, although it does come with its share of problems.

    The game will crash all the time and when it does, nothing else will run (at least for me) until I restart. Other than that (which will no doubt be fixed) the game is really great. Its fast paced, lag-less for me and the community is a lot kinder than Gunz persay. This game also does not give payshoppers an edge, the best gear cannot be bought with real money, only earned credits which is a big deal for me.

    Its fun to mess around with. If you don't like it, then you shouldn't really be trying free quality shooters, because this is as good as it gets.

    Well.... It's not exactly the second coming of Virtual on, that's for sure! But if you've ever had the urge to play Armor Core with a keyboard and mouse online, this will probably do.

    My biggest complaint with this game has to do with the weapons handling. Using a sword requires you sit through a three second animation cycle, during which you can do nothing, regardless of whether or not you hit anything. Likewise, using SMGs or any repeating firearm causes you to expend overly long bursts that cause your guns to overheat after two firings.

    The movement is dead on though and lag isn't that big of an issue, so it's at least worth a try. Just don't expect it to Mechwarrior 4 or anything.

    why some people think it is cool to slate NCsoft with no evidence I have no idea, Ncsoft may not be perfect but they have made some good games and are a major force in the MMO industry, we would be worse of with out em.

    I am enjoying Exteel along with many other members of my guild.  I think Exteel should have it's own board  :)
