Needs to be more Bloodier or Bloody...

Just like the CG video, it shows the essence of the dark and bloody Warhammer content perfectly portrayed by the dwarf "spitting blood out of his mouth" or the orc on a kamikazi launch to his death... or the human getting a face plant of a spikey mace directly full force.

The in game needs to portray that dark content.  Alot more darker than WoW by FAR...  needs to be more brutal but the RvR in game video didn't show what the CG movie showed. image rawr!image image

The characters need to die more painfully I think. More brutal sounds, metal on metal, flesh, last cry before dying etc.  It really can't be as PG as WoW.

Sigh...your grammar also needs to be more better.

A game can be dark without being fresh from a horror flick. Excessive gore is somewhat of a cheap appeal, in my opinion, which does little but attract those who lack the mental capacity to grasp anything deeper, as well as those with the "If it's not sadistic it's not fun" frame of mind...much like yourself. There are smarter ways to go about conveying a dark feel than tearing off limbs and bathing in blood. Do some research and read up on the races and classes. Go watch Paul's Witch Hunter video that was released yesterday. Look through the concept art at what will be implemented in the game. It's all dark.

If you're still not satisfied with it after that, then please go play Age of Conan where you can tear the limbs off all their plastic Ken doll player models. You also have the option of dropping a rat in a blender to appease your retarded lust for brutality...if you haven't already done that today.

I was too lazy to edit my posts, or more importantly my title of this thread.  If you know Warhammer, it is all about the gore.  However I do agree on "cheesy" gore.  It all depends on how you implement the gore to its greatest potential/forte without being overused.

TOBY are you implying I lack the mental capacity or I'm shallow?  I simply KNOW what Warhammer is all about and I don't need to prove anything to your forum trolling pompous ass that edits his/her post. So shove that attitude up yours Mr. Jump-To-Conclusion-Know-It-All Wannabe somebody.  Read some of Warhammer's history from the table top game before you start saying "I'm shallow" cuz I want more "sadistic" gore.  THIS IS THE SPIRIT OF WARHAMMER IT'S NOT AN OPINION. So TOBY, go read some Warhammer tales and stop being in a "I'm better than you 'FRAME OF MIND' much like yourself".

BTW about your Paul's Witch Hunter dark content. Where does it say I wanted more sadistic shallow gore?  I SAID WARHAMMER NEEDS MORE DARK CONTENT NOT MORE SADISTIC GORE.  TOBY +1 for looking like a stuck-up artificial jerk.

I've heard the term 'nerd rage' but have never really experienced it myself. Thank you for the experience. You sure told me.

And just pointing this out. While I'm fine with being inundated with name-calling and such, I'm not ok with being misquoted. I never referred to you as "shallow". In fact I didn't even use that word in my previous post. I did, however, say you fall into the category of those who believe something has to be sadistic to be fun. I could be wrong with this viewpoint, but if you're going to bash me, please bash me for what I said, not for words you've put into my mouth. Thanks.

And how do you reccomend they do that? I understand your trying but, these "do this" threads are pathetic.

You aren't going to get blood on the characters because graphics engineers just won't support it. The only way you could do something like that is with an animation, like decapitations in Connan but that would kill the desired ratting for the game.

The most effective way to add blood to the game would be to put it on weapons and equipment. For all we know, they could already be doing that.

Meanwhile, you could always make blood based abilities. Like maybe something that blinds the enemy after taking so much damage. But that would be added later in development, not now.

We have dead dwarves hanging from trees and buzzards picking their bones, what more do you want really?

The sounds right now will all suck anyway because it's ALPHA.

But anyway, to sum things up, you're complaining about this way to early. Detials like this get slipped in near the game's finish.

It's not "you could be wrong with this viewpoint" you were wrong.  "nerd rage" how original, you continue to amaze me, aren't nerds generally the one correcting grammer mistakes at every unnecessary times? Oh don't thank me. Thank you for entertaining me with your word games.  Really I image   Keep digging and you'll find something image

"mental capacity to grasp anything deeper"  The opposite of deep = shallow.  So yes you did REFER to ME as being "SHALLOW".  +1 for trying. kthxbye.

"nundated with name-calling and such" Wow... aren't you the one who named called first using the word "RETARDED" before even knowing the true "BRUTALITY" of Warhammer lore?  +2 for trying again!

So this is the "nerd wannabe" I hear so much about. Thanks for a great experience.

My thread could be misleading by the word "blood" in it.  I just hope Mythic can keep the "Warhammer feel" in game as the CG did.  I never said this "sucks" I think the RvR video did not portray the Warhammer feel to the game that's all.

Again with the misquotes. I have not stooped to the level of name calling, nor will I in the future. I really don't even know what you're going on about. I did refer to your lust for brutality as retarded, but that is on no way saying you are as well. I could have just as easily said "your incredible lust for brutality". Would that mean I'm calling you incredible? I think not.

If overreacting like this is a common thing for you, I really wouldn't spend much time on this forum. There are a number of others here who will make their differences of opinion known in a far less reasonable way, I assure you, and I think that would be way too many posts for you to troll all on your own.

    1. Opposite of Deep = Shallow.

    2. You calling my so called "lust" retarded is the same damn thing as calling a part of me, "retarded". You did stoop to name calling. If using the word retarded (in any context) or refering to a me as less deep a higher level than name calling you seriously have a complex.

    3. I don't have a LUST for brutality, I just hope the game keeps the integrity of the Warhammer style.

    4. Opposite of SHALLOW = DEEP.

    5. You telling me to read up is lol.

    6. Overeacting would be you. Keep trying, you're doing great.

Damn, I was about to tell you that the best way to win a pointless conflict is to ignore all rational arguments raised by the opposition and form a list of irrelevant points that don't substantiate anything and then follow that by trolling other forum posts by your opponent, trying to cause trouble. But it looks like you already had that covered. Good on ya.

I once had a friend who if you disagreed with him about something would go into apopleptic rage and start destroying whatever happened to be closest.

    nice to see you again.

    who knows whats Warhammerish?

    i'd myself say games workshop(obviously).

with this question answered we can make a new question:

why doesnt games workshop take its "license" away from mythic, if mythic isnt making it warhammerish?

the answer would be something along the lines of: because games workshop likes it.

what i am trying to say is, YOU, the OP(and probably some others), wants it to be bloody/grittier.
but mythic got GAMES WORKSHOP approval..

Rather than warning the 3 or 4 of you breaking the RoC individually with your personal attacks, Im going to say this once.....

Focus on the topic and the game, not on each other.

Im locking this and asking you all to please stay within the RoC, the next infractions WILL result in warnings. image
