Free Trial is Up

in Asheron's Call
While it isn't officially out, rumor has it that his site is running, and anyone can create a free trial account now. I believe they are adding support that will be included with the November event on the 16th. 

Start trying it out, guys and post here with the results. I am already a paying customer. Here it is.

    Up and running.  I really like it, I like the overall vibe I'm getting from it.  I've been looking for a game where I can actually explore, and I appear to have found it.  Not terribly sure how to correctly build a character, but I'll worry about that later.  I play on Solclaim as Octavarium, level 6 or something.

    As many of you know the Asheron’s Call free trial site was live over this past weekend. Unfortunately we had to bring the site live before originally planned and before all of the development support was ready. This allowed some players to possibly abuse trial accounts in an unintended manner.

    The positive side of this is we have information for those people and we will be checking the system based on the information we have. Anyone found to have exploited the system by gathering either rank chains or excess housing may be subject to a ban across all of their accounts, both trial and existing accounts. This will mean any accounts associated with trial accounts caught abusing the system could be banned. If you are a player who used the trial in a legitimate manner, you will not need to worry about any type of repercussions with your account.

    We had hoped it would not come down to this, but some players felt the need to once again try to gain advantages over other players. This trial is meant to re-energize AC and this kind of behavior only serves to hurt the game and the community.

    When the Free Trial officially goes live there will be restrictions in place that will prevent this from being an issue. Until this system is in place we will be monitoring all account transactions related to the free trial for abuse.

    So, where are all the posts of people trying the free trial?

    I invite everyone to come to the server of leafcull, and become my vassal. I'm full of advice for new players, and I deeply enjoy showing new players the ropes. I've been playing the game since beta, and I know almost everything there is to know in the AC world. Don't believe me? Just look at all the old posts on this message board. I have been posting here for a long time.

    So, get the trial, and post here or send me a private message. I'll get you setup and having more fun than you've ever had in an mmorpg.

    I thought we, former players, would be able to use the trial as a way to log in and play our characters again to get a look back at the game? it seems all i can do is make a new subscription?

    I think if you didn't transfer your account from the Zone, you are out of luck. My character is gone :(

    I played the trial yesterday, it was sad anyway. No one is around :(

    I am going to give this a go. I'll make a toon on leafcull if you want to post your name, Falcon. I have never played this one before so it should be interesting as I know absolutely nothing about Asheron's Call. I've never read about or met anyone from it at all.

    you should post on the free trial forums on the official turbine boards, there are ppl form all servers willing to help newbies.

    Wooooohooooooo http://turbine.fuzeqna.com/asheronscall/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=1289 it says you can still migrate your account!!! I'm going to see if they can actually do it. If I get my character back after like 3 years I'm going to be soooo happy. I will actually start playing. I just hate to play catch up with everyone.

    You can not use exsisting accounts for any trial of any MMORPG

    Dorobu, join the leafcull server, and add these names to your friends list, Falcon of Fury, Light Sweet Crude, and Space-Warp. Those are my most played characters. There is a tab for the friends list if you look through your in-game menus. 

    This is meant for anyone. Just get the trial account running, and send me a message in-game.

       My cousin ask me to join her playing this and she got a free trial someplace.... I guess I ll go and see what all the excitment is about.

         Is Asheron's Call the Green Latern of the MMORPG?
