Recently i purchased World of Warcraft but i am faced with a dilema: whether to choose to play a hunter or a warlock
I've heard that warlocks are good at pvp and have amazing crowd control abilities but hunters have good dps and stuff. Can anyone help me? Or not recommend another class?

I'd argue that Hunter is easier to play at first. You basically send in your pet, and then you only have a few shots to manage. With the new talents, pets got a decent buff and are somewhat more effective in PvP.
Warlocks are hella fun though. You'll have to manage more abilities, and you'll need to know what different situations call for. At level 60, I equate warlocks to outdoor raid bosses in PvP.
Both classes are good for solo play, although warlock may be more difficult until mid-40s. Both are fun to play, and useful in raid environments.
If you state what style of play you prefer, I could suggest other classes.

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
Such as:
Make sure you feed your pet often
Remember to update your pet skills every few lvls ( You don't just do this by going to a trainer, you have to go out and capture certain animals that have the same abilities as your pets, and use them until you have that ability in your "Train pet" window. Check out TKAsomething.com if you want to know more about the pets and what they can do, and where to find certain abilities.)
Always try to keep a fairly full Quiver/ammopouch
Not to mention, hunter skills can be expensive.
Yeah, Hunters are one of the best classes for both PVP and PVE because they have so many aspects that make it fun, but they can be a bitch to pick up.
As for locks, I haven't played one as much. They're fun though.I had to get used to being a squishy though. (I don't play clothes much.) But I love their DOT spells. Plus, they're pets don't take NEARLY as much work, but it is still a bitch to play a lock because they ARE cloth wearers.
Another good starting class is the Rogue or Druid, which are even better on a pvp server.
Groovy.
I think warlocks are a lot cooler now as they get doomguard pets, and your choice also depends on whether you want to be a spellcaster or ranged. I'd pick a warlock over a hunter any day
For GOD'S sake man don't go Warrior.
My only regret in WoW is that 50 levels ago I decided to choose the Warrior class.
A Warriors ass = constantly bruised by the nerf bat.
(I recommend Warlock or Mage.)
Gamecard only come in 60day versions and the prices vary by vendor, but i think they're around 25-30 $ or (where i live theyre 26-28 depending on the store i get em)
