I was thinking about getting guild wars, but im not sure which one to get or just get allof them. By the way is it true that you can only level up to 20 and how hard is it to level up. Also can anyone give me any heads up on the game like what proffesions to pick and stuff. I think a Necromancer/Fire and Earth Elamentest be a good cmbination since i can can use the necromancer as a good protection to defend and summon the undead for protection. While the fire and earth spells wil l do most of the damage. Because im goin for more of a nuker caharacter (lte person that deals the most of the damage in a group). But ihave found that the necromancer armor looks sort of gay with the tight pants. Is there any way to change that.
So if you can answer any of theese questions please do.

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/ that should give you some time to think about which professions to pick.
(Just go to the Campfire section in there :P and remember there is no "Wrong" build just builds people aren't good with :P)
There is no "Best" Combination of characters because of all the skill's Guildwars has.
Yes the "Max Level" is 20 but after that you still gain experience which adds up into a lot of skill points (I have 2.3 million experience and you get level 20 at like 530 k).
Also if you want to Experience the best Guildwars campaign get the First one.
If you want to experience the Guildwars campaign Get the newest one Nightfall because everyone is playing NF.
If you want the overall best experience get all the campaigns in order in which they were released or get them all at once.
Personally i have all of the campaigns but Factions because the key didn't work properly so i sent it back to NCSoft and am awaiting another key still (Over 7 months now)
Also if you need a good guild Talk to someone named "Gen Dragon" in guildwars and say "Sir Baddock" told me to talk to you and you will get in :P. (It's a very relaxed guild with "MANY" helpful players ranging from the ages of 15 to 44 i think is the oldest.)

He is right. But if u want both necromencer and elementalist take the necro as a second profession because with the fire ele u can be a nuker .
Also if you want to Experience the best Guildwars campaign get the First one.
And also although the nightfall has released recently and most of the gamers recommend it, prophecies is the best of them and begin with it. you can always find some people there. And try to buy all three campaigns together.
i was also looking at the the skills and stuff and realize they have alot more addiions to factions.. By the way are all 3 of them 1 game or sperate ones.
Ya, I also almost had the same problem but I bought Nightfall becuas I am also not a guild wars freak but I have played nightfall.
I shud buy nightfall becaus you there hace 2 more classes and some new armor that arent in the other guild wars.
So go buy nightfall^^
NCSoft/ArenaNet MAde this Comment on one of your question asked in a similar context
Question:Are Factions And Nightfall separate games or are they expansions.
Answer: Both Guildwars Factions and Guildwars Nightfall are Expansions & separate Games.
(Meaning that You can have any of the games and expand upon them with and of the other Guildwars games.)
Examples of game Buying/playing orders.
You could
Nightfall--->Factions--->Original.
Or
Nightfall-->Original-->Factions.
Or
Factions-->Nightfall-->Original.
Or
Factions-->Original-->Nightfall.
Or
Original-->Factions-->Nightfall.
Or
Original-->Nightfall-->Factions.
As you can see by the example they can be placed in any order you want and played in any order you want :P.
dont forget about prophecies
By the "Original" I meant Prophs :P
Well I have all 3 of the games and well, if you want it to last awhile then get the original. For the best experience get all of them, but if you can't do that i say get the first one and night fall. Factions wasn't that great. 20 is the max lvl, but and it can be reached in a week if you want to put the time in. Even though you hit level 20, you are probably nowhere near the end of the game, and probably about 1/2 - 2/3 of the way through the game.
If you like PvP then you won't have to worry about making a char and reaching lvl 20 to use him, you can make special PvP characters that are lvl 20 but you need to use the Story mode characters to unlock the good items and skills for them. Or you can just get alot of Balthazar faction and purchase the skills

For the final time GUILDWARS IS NOT A MMORPG, ITS A MMOG. Also don't flame with things like, World of warcraft sucks and stuff because fact is WOW has more players then Guildwars and is doing a lot better with some of there money.
Also Guildwars and World Of Warcraft both have there Features and Flaws, one might be good for you but horrible for someone else. Fact is Guildwars is free and has 3.3 million players, World of warcraft is P2P And has 7 million players.?, The way i see it WoW must be doing something better then Guildwars because they have "Double' The players of guildwars.
Now before you respond, I Own all of the Guildwars Campaign's 2 - 3 Times over (Third set is missing factions). I Also own World Of Warcraft and i have Quit playing it because or lack of end game content
Also if your going to Flame go to www.whogivesacrap.com
Marketting and network externalities... WoW really isnt that enjoyable. People just see the hype, and see their friends playing. Can that mean a 3.5 million player difference? Absolutely... There are nonexistent products that have brought in major revenue, just look at stock scams. Or heck, look at "tickle me elmo" :P It's not THAT cute.
As for the tight pants, darklord... Which expansion you choose as your primary determines what your armor looks like. Class builds are a bit endless, so I won't give my 2 cents there; however, my 2 cents is that Nec/Mes or Mes/Nec is rather nice for PvE nuker. The inspiration and soul reaping are good for energy management, and there are some interesting builds for spiking. Moreover, backfire is the penultimate mob-killer, and the option of going the shutdown/interrupt route makes it so you might have a use in PVP.
Saying nothing with too many words -Koja
This is not a flame. You said WoW must be good if it has 7.5 million subscribers. Well quantity does not equal quality. WoW is the McDonalds of MMORPG's and we all know the quality of McDonalds. People who want a fast and easy game can play WoW, while those who want more depth can go to games like EQ2, DAoC, and etc.
Guildwars is a CoRPG according to the developers themselves. It's not the final time "GUILDWARS IS NOT A MMORPG, ITS A MMOG," will be said either. Who cares what people call it anyways, that is just being petty.
MMORPG's w/ Max level characters: DAoC, SWG, & WoW
Currently Playing: WAR
Preferred Playstyle: Roleplay/adventurous, in a sandbox game.
MMORPG is Massive Multi Player Role Playing Game. Now Guildwars is a MMOG Massive Multi Player Game, The only reason i street this difference is because people will expect it to be a never ending world like a MMORPG, But it infact does end after you have done all of the missions and such.
I normally wouldn't care it's just were in a topic called "A Little Question about Guildwars before I buy it please Reply" So were guiding this Young mans Ideas towards the game and it's better to not give out fake information. Also the Developers of Guildwars have said its a MMOG And others in Numerous press releases.
(That CoRPG Thing was mentioned 1 - 2 times that i can find)
Also WoW Is Very Successful because of Word of Mouth and Advertising, How much advertising do you see for Guildwars.
...If I wanted to pay a monthly fee for another Everquest knockoff, I coulda just given my cash to SoE.
GW is far from perfect, but it's certainly been worth the money this year given it's Competition in 2006
...as well as it's so called upcoming "competition" in 2007.
To maximize the OP's enjoyment, this is what I'd do if I was him:
1>Only buy Prophecies and Nightfall & Start your first Character in Porphecies
2> play it to about level 8 in "Pre-Searing" keeping all the salvage you find.
3> Rush through the Post-Searing missions in PuGs, or get someone to "Run" you to Lion's Arch
4> Talk to the guy on the Dock in L.A. to get into the Nightfall area and get some "Heroes"
5> Head back to Porphecies with your Heroes and enjoy the rest of the Journey, without having to rely on n00bs & henchmen.
Guild wars kills wow

i dont agree , yes its true there is a end to quests and missions , but still some quests can be done again. and if we see the titles , for a casual player those can take years to reach all max titles just for one chapter.
if we had pvp , there is no end
if we had , guilds and allience , social organizations , there is no end
the truth is , guildwars is a mmorpg , people dont want to call it , well fine
at least we have something to argue forever
