To all the ryzom beta winners out there...

Just a quick reminder: MMORPG.com stated that you would be entered into the beta. They have no control over when this happens. Nevrax is solely responsible for what happens in the end. Not only that, but Nevrax can enter you into the beta when ever they choose; it does not have to be right away. I personally can say that you shouldn't have expected to get in right away; Beta 2.4 had just started and you all were too late for that. Having 500 people enter a beta phase in the middle, while possible, is unlikely. Just be patient and let Nevrax handle the situation, please don't blame MMORPG.com. In the end, there really isn't anything they can do; they've held up their end of the bargain.
Remember, the staff at MMORPG.com holds these contests out of their own courtesy, let's all remember to respect that. It's a privilege they give us, not a right.
Sorry if this feels like it is targeted to anyone specifically, but it's a general statement towards ALL contest winners at the site. I won the UXO contest back in January and have heard nothing since. I wasn't even ever contacted by EA or OSI. You don't see me blowing my top. Just remember that Craig and gang do this out of kindness, it is far from mandatory.

A lot of things go behind the scenes here at MMORPG.COM, much of which you have no idea about, to make MMORPG.COM the hub for news and information in the scene of Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games. We have great pride in what we have achieved, as well as things that have yet to be achieved in the near and far future.

i dont think anyone is angry with mmorpg.com and if so should not be. its the themis group that is in control of said prize that is the target of critizism. open beta for rysome is starting in april so really contest winners get nothing as it is nearly april now. again not the fault of this website but no prize for prize winner none the less. so i think people have the right to be a little upset about it.

I don't blame them at all, and I'm not mad. Maybe we'll get in beta for a couple weeks before open beta, that's ok with me. Even if it doesn't work out, oh well. It's just a game anyway. It'll give me an excuse to get some exercise and fresh air perhaps! These are more important things in life.

MMORPG.com is the best site out there for info on games and contests. There is no competetition
Now, my only problem is Theamis. I didn't think a compnay who can make a great game can't write a simple e-mail telling us "I'm sorry but you need to wait for your beta account even though we accepted you". Its a little bit depressing. I was told Theamis has poor costumer service and now I know why. Theamis is who I'm aggrevated with, not MMORPG.com
How do you know open beta is starting in April? I'm a beta tester and haven't heard anything about it...and I'm also pretty sure open beta ISN'T starting in April. While I won't make any comments to break NDA, I will say that if you guys are entered in the next phase of beta you will get PLENTY of playtime. Like I said before, the contest thing has been left up to Nevrax and Themis group, who will probably contact you before the next beta phase begins. Not a definite, but a pretty accurate predition based on my experiences.

If people are mad at MMORPG.com they got issues. It's does however look pretty lame on Nevrax's part to offer the accounts as a promotional item on a website.... errm websites (other sites had the contest as well and the winners on those contests as well have not been in beta yet), only to deliver on something there didnt even need to be a contest for.
My only real question to MMORPG.com is since I won a beta account for Saga of Ryzom (that Nevrax, not MMORPG.com has yet to deliver) am I still eligible for winning other contests on MMORPG.com ? I cant remember but I thought it said somewhere that winning the contest disqualifies you for 60 days. Or that might be when my perscription is due for refill (heh hard telling what I read and where)
Just wondering though. And for what it's worth MMORPG.com is still the only website worth looking at for Online gaming.
And for those who are mad about the contest.......
