Are you happy?

I read the other day that most people who play online games are either depressed or on the lower end of happiness.

What do you guys think?  Are we a depressed or maybe on the low side of happy?  I don't know, I mean look how much time a person who plays MMO's spends in front of the computer.  I have seen X-Fire accounts where people have 1000's of hours of play time.  That's a lot of time to be sitting around by yourself playing a game.  It's got to mean something.  I don't know what maybe, but I know it has to mean something about our psychology.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your happiness?

I would probably put mine around a 7-8.  But then again, I don't play obsessively like some people do, so I wonder if I'm not your typical MMO player.

But anyways, rate your happiness.  1 to 10.  I'm curious.

Oh and tell how much time you spend playing too.  I bet those two numbers would be interesting.

    8-10 normally.

I normally play 2 hours a weekday and like 8 on the weekend.

Probably a 7 right now. I'm not playing any MMORPGs currently though. I wouldn't be able to judge what it was at when I was playing... I guess I'll just need to wait until I get into a new game.

3, only because i'm in a place that I really don't want to be and can't get out of.

EDIT; I don't spend that long playing games, but it's nice escapism.

I stopped gaming a while ago and I'm unhappy.

I think both things are pretty unrelated.

The lack of a good MMORPG with a nice community for a few years now has definately made me a more unhappy person. No idea what I'd rate myself, though :O (More near 10 than 0.)

Well, I'm on Anti-Depressants now which seems to make me happy sometimes. And now that I'm out of school I won't get picked on as much so it shouldn't be that bad... At 11 and 12 years of age I felt so bad I felt I had no reason to live.

I kind of feel the same way now, I just don't think about it as much and can respond to certain situations better... I guess the meds are helping but I still hate taking them...

I dont really know, for last few months i felt like shit seems as though everything is just going downward into like a drain or something.  Nothing seems to go the way i want it to, instead the exact opposite.  Thats why ive been spending more time in front of my computer it blocks everything out and just feels better  (but ive actually been gaming less).  But oh well thats the way of life.

But i would rate it  somewhere between 3-5.

    I'd say I'm a 7 heading upwards.

And the only gaming I've done this past month is online poker, which is only a couple of hours every few days.
