I might get a new graphics card for Christmas. I already asked for a
Nvidia Geforce 7950GT, and I think my mom may have already ordered it for me but I'm not sure... Anyway, my processor is an AMD Athlon 64 3500+
@2.2ghz (idk how to overclock). Do you think my processor will hold me back from getting good performance in games? I know that I will eventually have to upgrade my processor, but I can't do that until I get the money... And I'm not going to ask for a new processor as well.
Keep in mind that I'm wanting to max out just about every game out there (assuming resolution is going to stay at 1280x960 and only 2aa, as I don't notice the difference that much in levels of anti-aliasing...
Could someone please answer my question? That would be a big help for me, thanks.

Well, you'll be able to play games just fine. That card will give you performance that you've prlly never experienced.
Now you prlly wont notice if you cpu is holding you back unless you play the newest games with all Antiliasing on to the max. and if you upgraded ur cpu youd prlly see higher 3dmark scores in 05 and 06.
but overall. just get the card and see for urself man
Intel's CPU prices will drop a lot soon: http://www.hkepc.com/bbs/itnews.php?tid=714230&starttime=0&endtime=0
I'm waiting for that and I'll buy new CPU then. Oh yes, you have AMD, you'd need new mobo for Intel.
