Win me over- which game should I renew/start?

In another few weeks (or late January at worst) I will be renewing ONE, and only ONE, MMGS subscription.  I have narrowed it down to four choices, and am going to seek the same question to be answered on each forum for the games to see what info I can get.  The four games are WoW, EQ2, Vanguard and Eve Online.

I'd really appreciate it if you can examine which game I should renew or start based on MY gameplay style and preferences, not your own. I certainly need your experiences to give me the information, but here is what I am like as a gamer:

I am a 99 percent soloist.  I find most groups to be annoying, the people stupid, and the fact that no one can spell the easiest words in the English language to be cringe-inducing.  I do not use voice chat in games. I find most people rushing, rushing, rushing to get that next kill, make more money, get better loot.  I find the entertainment in the journey, not the destination.  I've played every MMGS that's released (and many betas) and never once reached maximum level despite playing every day for massive lengths of timel.  I do not tend to join Guilds or groups as I feel obligated and pressured to do things with the people or chat with them and it takes away from my entertainment value of what I'm doing in the game.  I love crafting, I love exploring, I love the rush of having taken out 5 enemies on my own.  I love having made things with my crafting and getting a regular batch of customers that rely on my great prices and return for their gear needs.  I am a fan of PvP, but only in a non-twinking environment, as twinking is cheating.

Based on these generalizations and characterizations of myself as an MMGS gamer, which one would you suggest renewing or starting? WoW, EQ2, Vanguard or Eve Online?  Please give me good info about my fit in the game for the forum you're reading this in.

Thanks in advance for any serious and intelligent replies!

I recommend EverQuest II. It is extremely soloable, although not entirely. It has a fairly engaging crafting system, and exploring can be pretty entertaining when you enter zones for the first time. It does have zones, so WoW has a leg up on EQ2 on those terms. Anyway, yeah, go for EQ2. The Echoes of Faydwer expansion includes all you need.

LOL You sure you like MMOs? I mean, it sounds like you just want to play alone in an open world. The GTA series may be your boat.

Just kidding though, unless I'm right. Anyway, you had a question? Ah yes, which game to sell your soul to? Hmm...

Let's break it down, shall we?

The EQ series (never played, so just picking) is getting dated, and EQ2 may have given it that infusion to stay alive for a bit longer. This is just me, but I feel weird playing older games. The thought "I'm the only one who still plays this" makes me cringe.

EVE Online is far worse (I know this). I played the trial up to the end of the two weeks, and saw the true age of this game. There was a HUGE gap between the people that just wanted the trial, people who were nearing the end of the trial (me), and those that have invested their entire lives into this game. Now, I like the idea of playing while your away, but the complication and detailed nature can get confusing, and very upsetting to people just wanting to have fun for a few hours. It also has that desperate world feel to it. Space is...very lonely. And so very cold.

WoW, on the reverse side, is very popular but extremely easy. From the first day it was up until a few days before the second release of BC I played casually. It hurt me in PvP playing this way, but I can easily say I had more fun getting there. It all comes down to gear, and as I said, in PvP you'll know this. The only reason I got so good (along with some skill) was the fact I had the best gear, and was only missing three pieces. The end was depressing, and seeing so many 60s rolling around with maximum gear and nothing left to do was sad. BC is coming out 1/16, and I intend to play, but...

...Vanguard is coming out 1/29. This game, from what I've seen and heard, can be seen as one of the toughest competitors Blizzard has. It has everything WoW has, but more (if that can even be said). I could go on and on about everything this game has (along with the bad), but I try not to make long posts.

Anyway, I can't say I tried to pick the game for you, as I really couldn't place you from the start. I feel the best choice a person can make is to read the choices made by others, and from them make an educated (what?) guess.

Everquest, still tops for depth of content, raiding, crafting, and overall challenge.  So much to do, you will constantly be torn by what to do first or where to adventure next.

Alright, short answer first.  My opinion? take up EQ2.  Of all the game
listed, it's the one I believe matches the closest to your
    "requirements".

Long answer now, first up Vanguard.  Since the game isn't out yet, I
refuse to even consider it.  I have been playing  MMOs since early EQ
and AC and the one thing I learned was to never trust promises about
unreleased contents.  If it turns out to be godly, you can always
    cancel and subscribe to it.

Next, Eve.  Eve kinda goes against your soloist mentality.  Eve is a
pvp/guilds game, if you don't socialize all that is left to do is do
the solo stuff, which is what turns people off in this game.  I'm sorry
but mining asteroid is "the" most boring thing I have ever done in a
    MMO.

Third up, WoW.  While WoW is the game for the soloist, ( you can solo
1-60 easily, as any class) it suffers from one caveat, the gear you can
get solo is extremely limited.  Large raids have the best stuff, and 5
man groups can get some pretty good gear, but a solo player gear
opportunities are lacking at best.  Of course, pvp rewards are pretty
good and are situated between the raid and the 5-man stuff, but WoW pvp
goes against your "no twinking" rule.  That is to say, you'll get to
see the cause of all the raiders hate that all the rage right now, the
gear inequality.  Raiders will be better geared than you and by a wide
    margin.

Which leave us with EQ2. Let's see, solo, (albeit with more difficulty
than wow) and a very large and complex crafting system.  I haven't
heard too much bad thing about the PvP so I assume it's decent.  More
importantly, the gear inequality between the raiders and the
casuals/soloers isn't as large as what it is in the present-day WoW.

As a finishing note, I would like to add that WoW: The Burning Crusade
is just around the corner.  The biggest effect is the gear reset which
will put soloist/casuals and raiders at roughly the same gear level for
a short while(till the raiders starts raiding the 70 stuff)  What this
mean is that if someone were to level reasonably fast, one could stay
within the curve with pvp and arena rewards.

    Ok my 2 cent.

WoW indeed is the game greatest for a soloist from 1-60 .Its easy to play and levelling is easier then most mmorpg out there and soloable. But the big question is what happens at 60.Now having said that WoW is the most geared oriented mmorpg i ever played. All mmorpg are somewhat gear oriented but WoW is the champion of this. This makes pvp very hard for the solo based player.

Now there will be as said by skai a sort of gear reset because quest items and blue drops will be more or less tier 2+.However this was exactly the case in WoW for first few months at launch.Rest assured in a few months it will be the same scenario as before when the raid guilds hit the raid zones.

EQ2 soling is a bit harder then WoW but  has more depth and content. It also is more reliant on updating your skill with the best adept or master rather then your gear. And the best adept is craftable .Meaning a solo player does not suffer as bad as in WoW.

So while a EQ2 raider will be better off  then a solo in EQ2 ,it is nowhere as close to what you see in WoW.

Vangard might not even make the jan release and since its still in closed beta i have no comment over it.
