    This game is going to be soo.... awesome.... And the show Rocked!!! I just hope it doesn't get cancled tooo......

    The shows and movie were great, but will that make a great MMO? I don't think so.

    Actually, with Unlimited amounts of worlds to explore, Space content, Atlantis lining itself up to be an expansion, and quite a few playable races and professions, this MMO has the possibility to be the ultimate Open-Ended MMO (What SWG could and should have been). The only MMO I'd take over it would be a Firefly or Dune MMO.

    when they release this game i imagine it will have different graphics, based on unreal engine, so fireworks garanteed. its still based on grind so its like every other game out there, knight online, mu online, guild wards, world of warcraft, the matrix online, gunz international online and so on and so on.  i hope this game will be good because grinding is not something i dont like, quite the opposite i hate it, like many others.

    i hope goldwyn mayor company dont cann SGA, it seems to be going good, albeit only seen the 1st season, im still waiting for five tv to air it again, that said im also waiting on channel 4 to show SG-1 season 9 or 10 i think it is.

    I'm very interested in checking this out.  I'm a SWG fan despite all that's happened, but might be interested in check out another SCI-FI MMO.  MxO didn't draw my attention, maybe this will.

    I was the DUNE: Generation Beta... the idea and concept was soooo good, the game was soo going to rock. For those who played Mankind, DUNE was like the most perfect sequel ever.



    As for Stargate, I hope... I really do hope that it rocks!



    Firefly.. So much potential but the guys that are making this game can't even do a good website.. i'm a little scared at what the game will look like. Think about it, if you cannot even have a decent website then it's really hard to believe that they will ever make a decent interface in-game lol... My two cents but your front image is how you generate your hype..

    Yea the whole idea is great i really love the shows i just have my doubts wether they will be able to pull it off

    If not then don't bother ecause it will be a BIG disapointment

    I'm a huge fan of the series and were pretty hyped the moment I saw, that there is going to be a Stargate MMOG, which was several month ago.

    My even more excited and eager to play it since I like playing MMOG's.

    Can't be better .. Stargate + MMOG!



    I just hope Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment will do it right, but I think these guys are quite good at what they'r doing and I like the way this game is heading to

    - some kind of tactical shooter thingie...



    My only wishes are, that there won't be too much instancing. To a certain degree I think it's a good solution, but I hope they won't instance most of the mission etc.

    My other wish is:  Don't make PvE Only and PvP Servers... I love to do both, would be even better if they would make just one huge Server whe everyone can paly on, which is actually possible with the BigWorld Server Tech. they'r using. ( Well, ofcourse to a certain number of players)..

    Let the hype being, but dont forget what happend to VG:SoH,DnL and Shadowbane... they promised so much but delivered nothing.

    I'll probably never pre-order a game again, and I won't make an exception with SGW.



    Spend 60€ back then for nothing. Well, the dragon flying thing was nice for a few days, but after that it just bored me to hell.

    Star trek online seems like it would be a fun game, I have been a ST fan for Years now, Not of of those Geek ass fans knowed as treky's or anything but i like the Movies and Shows.. and i can see tis being a Good game But!



    I have been a fan of the SG theme since the Movie came out back in the early 90's hell i even saw the movie in theater 3 times!!!

    Have watched the Series on Tv since it was released as well. my first thought was it was going to Blow because Magyver was in it Hehe, But it turned out to be a realy good show. Me and my Wife Talked About SG Should come out with a MMO Long Before there was Any talked about it, And im glad to See Some one else had the same idea.. I will Most Likey Buy this game when it is released, and will Also be up for Playing Beta if i can get in.. My hype meter is a 10/10 for now.. hoping this will be a classic in the future.

    hehe i too was one of the idiots who preordered DnL, and since then iv been way carefull of getting excited.

    So from this MMo, my philisofie is

    Hope for the best, but expect the whorst, this way i dont get diddipotined if it failed, and i would still be joyfull it its succeed..

    The movie was good. SG-1 GREAT, havent have time to watch Atlantis yet, but will, and i will buy the game too. Cant wait for it..

    Just hope the game will be good.

    I too am hoping this game will be awesome. Loved the movie and TV series. Also a huge fan of the pinball game. This is a perfect setting for an MMO. I await patiently for an awesome product.

    I have high hopes for this game as well .. even if the concept is a bit odd. I am just worried as huge a fan of the show(s) and movie as I am that they are going to completely butcher it and end up a hack job piece of crap like so many other media franchise MMOs. :/

    I think thats just why this could be great. I mean. The concept is a bit odd. But also gives the scene something new.

    Orchs, swords, lightsabers, gamification of ww1 & 2 might be all right and that, but seriosly... Its kinda getting somewhat trite (or even boring) to constantly releasing new games of old idéas where the biggest change is some new sword-in-the-sun-flashing effects and cool textures.

    Ok. Aliens and strange distant worlds might not be a new theme, but the stargate idéa in whole and the set-up surely blows a fresh  breeze into the scene if you ask me.

    Yeah. Agree.. Theres too many horror example of really BAD games based on good movies and series to just ignore...

     Lets just hope they get it all right with this as i think it might be a REALLY cool game if they manage to pull it off.

    I do hope this turns out well.. we need some decent sci-fi mmorpgs..

    as for the company that is making firefly..

    are they not the designers behind www.multiverse.net ?

    not exactly the best engine in the world.. so unless they are making a new engine for firefly then i dont hold any hope in that :( sadly

    True that this game is gonna rock,  and lets hope they don't let the hardcore fans and casual gamers down.
