What are *your* reasons for looking forward to this game?

I thought it would be interesting to state our individual reasons for being so interested in the game, hype aside. I'll start with mine, apologies for it's length, I tend to rant a little.
From what I've read on the CoH forums and in previews, it seems that at least at first there will be little or no economy, and that is one element of the game that I am very much looking forward to. I'm all for helping new players with tips and information, but all too often I hear 'credz plz' or 'somebody give me a sword' or something.. When, really, all that new players need is maybe some information, I know that in Ao for example it seems very hard for new players to earn money, but if they know what to look for then it isn't anymore.
I'm really ranting here, but the point I'm trying to make is that to me, this game has the potential to develop it's community of players into... well, for lack of any better words, an awesome one. 
If nothing else, they are trying something that hasn't been tried before with the complete lack of (or need for) armor and weapons.
I can see this developing into a community of players who, even if they don't roleplay, act more or less as if they really *were* actually superheroes in such an environment, cooperating effectively with others of their ilk. I imagine competitive rivalry, co-operative achievements, perserverance against significant challenges...
Essentially, the ideal setting in which to fall immersed in the game. I am a bit disappointed with the lack of PvP, but I recognize that they simply could not have included it without greatly detracting from the finer points of the game. I very much look forward to playing it, and those are my reasons why.

I have a few reasons for looking forward to this game.
For one i just can't wait to see all the powers and test them out for myself. Plus the game looks great. I've been waiting 3 years to play this game. i just want to flying around the whole city to see and do everything there is to do. i have played many super heroes games in the past but none that looks as fun as this. i also want to interact with the community. join a team an fight crime together. i really hope this game lives up to my expectations.
I have been waiting on this game for one simple reason. It was made for people like me. Right on with that last post. I have been playin (and still am) Marvel Super Heroes for 16 years non stop on a regular basis, and I have been foaming at the mouth for a game like this in which I can import my extremely original characters. Freedom Force was a blast, but CoH will be the true test. I am ready to rock and roll, and NEED that beta invite asap to lock down my main characters name. hehheh. I have never anticipated a game as much as this one. I will quit ALL other games to hook up on this mug. I just wish I had more time to devote to it when it releases. I may have to file for divorce!! LOL

Freedom Force was fun for a while, but boredom soon killed it for me. I've already cancelled all my Star Wars Galaxies and Final Fantasy accounts so I can make spend time exclusively for this COH. I've heard a few things about the game already, and it's all good. I hope to see you there, Teratya.
I am looking foward to this game cause of the caracter creation......billions of combos and also the sweet ass game play add up to be a super ass game........

I'm looking foward to this game because I think it's the best future MMORPG to be released. The costume creator is very unique to the game and so is the super hero concept.
Cryptic Studios(developers) aren't going to make the same mistakes as other companies. Like Turbine Entertainment when partnered with Microsoft.
There will be no Tank Mages in the game.

I used to play a PnP superhero game that I LOVED! I was never much into the fantasy aspect of RPGs, but being a superhero was right up my alley. Unfortunately, our GM copped out on us, pleading scheduling difficulties, and shortly after our group fell apart. *mutters* I would have liked to have finished the adventure at least....
Anyway, I'm hoping this will pick up where that left off. It also seems like this game will be especially condusive to role playing. Like someone above me mentioned, even without immersing yourself in your character, it'll be pretty easy to get into actually BEING a superhero
I'm going to reserve judgement on the costume creation system until I actually get to play with it and see if the costumes I have in mind will work out the way I want them to
