Codemasters and Lord of the Rings

Well I seen just today (yeah bit behind) that EU handling of Lord of the Rings Online is being done by Codemasters. This does not bode well. I have had nothing but trouble from below par games which theor shody tedh support makes even worse. I know of one incident that spaned 5 petitions and ended up in me giving up just because my petitions were not being read and answered properly.

Its a shame because while Lord of The Rings does look to be a WoW clone it does at least look a decent one to be fair. I might have paid a bit more attention to it in futre but Codemasters have put me off. Nothing about their tech support or even way if strucutring forums and so on makes me feel good about them.

You read it wrong, LOTR is being made by turbine not codemaster )codemaster is the publisher), you know, turbine? the ones that screwed DDO and screwed/cancelled AC2.....  that's the ones....

YOU read ME wrong. I said that EU handling is being done by Codemasters. Not the game is being made by them. If I beleived that then saying the game in Europe is being made by someone different wouldnt have made any sense would it?

oh well, seems i rushed too fast on that one image, but codemaster is handling both the US and Eu release of LOTR, and well with turbine working on it, i wouldnt worry too much about codemaster....

Haha I ALWAYS worry about Codemasters. Incidently I though Midway was dealing with US.

Like I said before its a real shame that a game based on the origin of so much of our fantasy culture should be made into a rehash of a game that is itself a decsended from that culture. And a simple clone at taht. Would have been nice to see something more orginal and with more bite. It really looks like WOW2. And I immagine it uis similar to what Blizzard would have done had they got off theor backsides and made a sequel instead of taking eons for Burning Crusade.

Still Im not counting it out just yet. But that is two marks against this game. I knew it would just be a franchise spinner but for once I would like to see something grand done with a license of this calibre.

Codemasters is handling the EU version of Lord of the rings online, not the US one. I never had any problems with previous CM MMO titles.
