    Yes.

PvP is implemented through typing /pvp in a non-hostile server, or on a Hostile server, you are perma flagged at level 16 and up.

There are also Constructs that are perma PVP in them, and they drop very rare, and very sought after loot. You can get into those as early as level 15.

Also, with the new introduction of the "Luggables" which automatically flag you for pvp when picked up, provide benefits to your side, although the plans and exact advantages are not yet for certain.

    Hope I helped.

There is PvP in this game.

The PvP only works between players of opposing "organizations", of which there are three. To be attackable by a player from another organization (not to be able to attack), the player needs to be "flagged", appearing "hostile" to players of other organizations.

You can either become flagged by typing a command into your chat box (/pvp), or by attacking a hostile player, or by healing a friendly player of the same orgazation.

Without further action, it disappears after about 3 minutes.

On Vector-Hostile, this rule only applies until level 15. As soon as you're level 16, you are permanently flagged.

Also, the flag can be activated by entering a PvP zone, which can be static or be activated by an admin for a limited time.

There are equal pacification zones that deactivate your flag as soon as you enter it.

At the moment, there are no gameplay recognitions and no rewards for PvP apart from meaningless "CQ points" which can be viewed by everybody.

Beating someone in PvP doesn't give you any XP or money, equally you don't lose any from being defeated.

Also, there's another form of player vs. player combat - the duel. It can only take place between two opponents, and needs an invitation and acceptance to begin. It can be ended by a "hyper-jump" at any time, and losing a duel isn't equal to death, as you can stand up with minimal health after a duel, but need to go the "Loading Area", and lose certain items from PvP and PvE death.

    I hope that was helpful.

PvP at least on vector usually requires a degree of planning, randomly sending in 5 people to attack Mara Central (main PvP hardline) will usually result in a failure, but having those players stick together and have a healer with them constantly bringing their HP up usually results in a win

true, I loved going with around 5peeps to clear mara C eventhough it was packed by the zerg.

one negative point, you have to be 50 to be able to compete normally in PvP...

PVP in MXO is pointless, simple, and is dominated by the zerg.

    pointless - yes

You only win CQ points which are pointless. But eventhough it is pointless it is lots of fun and I loved every minute I PvP'd

    easy - no

If you're Zionite it is easy, the hard part is not about killing the enemy but about being the one who runs most fast to catch him or be the one who deals the final hit to get the CQ point.

always won by the zerg - no

If you're machinist or merv it is harder to PvP but also more fun. If you get out there with a good team of 5 or 6 players you can beat a larger group of zionites (zion is most easy to kill because they have the most little kiddo's)

It's fun for a bit, but it's very repeatitve and pointless, easy to lose interest. When's the last time you played?

Your second response doesn't address my point. It's easy because the system is easy, there's really no strategy and you just kinda gotta show up and use MKT. Also since CR2, it's harder to raid Mara solo.

I said dominated by the zerg, not won, you can't win, remember it's pointless. Of course you can hold off the zerg for a while but soon or later (usually sooner) they over run you with #'s.

if I remember correctly, you were from vector. Now I can understand where you're coming from since vector is always, well most of the time always about PvP. But my main is on recursion, I like switching to vector for PvP and coming back on recursion for other things. MKT, eh yeah its a really easy tree that has a few problems but I rather see a whole zerg be taken out by riflemen, I mean it happened last night and it was fun to watch.

The best way to beat a zerg? PvP at night, kill all the zerglings, they'll go to sleep because its past their bed time. Then you'll know you've won :)

I quit just after CR2 was launched, I played it a couple of times on QA and then left the game...

So yes, my info is outdated, but still I almost never lost interest in PvPing. It only started to get boring when there was none to PvP against.

you're right about the zerg, in the end they will win, but it does feel good and gives me lots of fun to hold them off for a while...

Bloodwork, who were you talking too, I'm from vector yes. PvP ftw
