Whats up with people not playing there keys?

in Lord of the Rings Online
Ive read some post that people dont even play the beta when they got a key. Man ive been waiting forever for a key and would love the oppurtunity to play the beta. If anyone have a spare  key or dont play ill play for you :).

    maybe they tried it, and it sucked, so they stopped and are waiting for it to get better before trying again?

    could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

    As someone has already posted ... the game is "Ok at best" ... I hope you find what you are looking for.

    Well that's true for any MMO. There'll always be a percentage of players who receive a key yet never activate it or install the game, whether it's because they don't feel it's worth the time and effort, or they simply don't have the time in their life to actually make it worthwhile to do so. Usually when you sign up for a beta it's months before you get the key, and for a lot of folks the variables in life can change pretty quickly.

    i saw many post  about poeple not using they key or stoped use them   like  ramvo  say



    me too i waiting and still waiting for a beta invite   lol     so poeple who dont use they key should give to poeple who want  them



    why  beta apply if u dont use them  oh well :)  if u have a spare key  or dont use  one  i will happy to use it me  too like ramvo :)

    For several months now had emails thrown at me from winning a contest here ( think it was 200 total ) and never even bothered to look at the mail. Just to lazy lol,I'm gonna wait for other players to give a review from open beta to decide

    i wanted to try it out but i never could connect to the world server. the tech forums are flooded with problems and with little tech support most of the solutions/advice come from other players. there were many that share the same problem as me the post i made had almost 700 views and 50 replies yet never was fixed. i stayed in contact with several others who had same problem and it's never been resolved.



    i have to say just by reading the general and class forums i don't feel like i'm missing anything special.

    i also desier to get into the LOTRO beta, have a friend that is in it and i have gotten to play it some and i would like an account for my own my email is rhut_sc@hotmail.com if anybody has a key they not usin and would be nice enuf to let somebody who would actually use it, use it

    I have a question. i'd like to try the game out for myself. I entered for beta from the beginning with no luck. Are there any sites maybe handing out accounts? Contest or such?

    The unfortunate thing is that people don't realize that they are doing a real beta. Not like Archlord where you played for a few weeks to stress test and get some bugs but a real extended beta.

    Since this is the case, people should not be playing because they feel that this is some sort of trial to see if they want to buy it. They should be playing to beta test and to submit thoughts/bug etc.

    Just thought I would add my 2 cents.

    I find no fault in your logic Sov, and I therefore handed the my key over to Ramvo.  I hope he gets more out of it than I did.  But I will also have to say that more than 50% (probably more) play the beta to see if they would like the game.

    To explain further:

    Lag was horrendous (even on the lowest graphics setting).  Wait times to get in topped 2 hours or more.  How is one to beta test a game they cannot even play for more than 10-15 min without going LD?  They have a LOT to work on.  I did not sign up to Alpha test LoTR!
