Personally, everything besides Pirating bores me. I play the market a bit, but that doesn't require a full time commitment in most cases.
I was just wondering what role you play in EVE.

Voted "other" as none ofthe choices cover it really. They won't for most people i bet.
What i do is the following:
- I engage in alliance v alliance warfare
- I engage in random 0.0 (and very seldmomly low sec) pvp
- I kill npc pirates for minerals and isk
- I run complexes for loot and isk
- I mine when the corp requires minerals
- I sometimes run a few missions to work on my blood raider standing (on the char that i dont use to kill blood raiders) to get access to faction-related standing determined content for the corp.
- I forum whore
- I sit around in newb corps sometimes (alt, obviously) giving advice to newbs.
- I look for exploration content
- I sometimes do some player-made good trading in empire
That's your typical allround alliance peon.
I voted Other as well.
You see i like to PvP a bit but mainly i like to trade and mission run.
Voted other:
And a few others. No PVP as of yet as my little ship got blown up and I spent all my money on skills so I need to get more Money and a PVP ship. So money Making at the moment.
-goes ratting
-clears out complexes
-or takes the occasional sightseeing trip to 0.0 space, which often ends with clone usage
What is your role in EVE?
Anti-Pirate, Pirate, Mission and Trader, Miner, Researcher & Producer.
This is the stuff I do in EvE.
I do trading but not npc trading I do haul massive amount of stuff also
Guides & Trials for EvE Online:
I voted other, since really, I do too many things to be pigeonholed.
I do a lot of things, mostly industrial. I do missions, I rat hunt, I build and research, and I'm also a director (currently acting CEO) of my corp. I do PVP on occasion but not particularly good at it. But I'm focusing my skills more in that arena.
i voted other becuase i'm kind of laying low right now, building isk and sp until i can become a merc.
also, Anti-Pirating and carebears aren't the same thing, you can be an incredibly immoral and ruthless bounty hunter, i would not lable that carebear, but i suppose that's just my opinion.
I voted other.
I'm a merc, and thats how i make my living in Eve..
I myself am a General 0.0 ratter who goes on small pack hunts or sits on GC's whenever sick of ratting or have enough cash to afford a few lost ships.

One of the things i like to do is to kill things so i voted for Rat Hunter.
Its a shame you cant make multiple votes then id vote for the carrer paths i like to do
I'm heavily involved in alliance Warfare PvP and my role in such fleets is that of Electronics Warfare specialist. Currently that means I am generally in a blackbird or Scorpion but occasionally I break out a DPS rigged drake for fun and mayhem as well.
I also tend to belt rat when not in PVP ops but I also trade and play the market as well.

I'm new to Eve - only a month old. I haven't decided what I want my role to be yet. There are so many choices! I'm not really into pvp, so that's not it. I enjoy missions, but I also want to do productive things. I belong to a small start-up corporation that wants to eventually build its own POS. We do not pirate or do anything else to raise the ire of other players/corps/alliances. It will be quite a while, if ever, before we become strong enough to even want to be part of an alliance, since alliances are usually drawn into conflict with each other.
The only thing I can say for sure is that I want to be powerful enough to protect myself in most situations and am concentrating on building my base skills so that when I finally figure out what I want to specialize in, I should be headed in the right direction.
I'd say I'm currently 'unemployed'
I started playing 3 weeks ago and haven't really found my role yet. Done some mining to make ISK, some combat missions in empire, but mostly I've just annoyed my corp with questions...
Have about 50 days of learning skills training ahead of me before I try to figure out what to do (and mining to afford the skills while waiting )
Selected "Other":
I do some ratting, a little complex running, and recently began playing around with COSMOS missions.
My prefered "roll" is anti-frigate anti-fighter anti-drone fleet support. I exclusively fly Coercers with 7-8 medium pulse II's and at least one, if not two, 400mm rolled plates; for PvP. No afterburner or MWD and the armor rep is typically forfieted for a PvP setup. I fit a webifier in the single midSlot with this type of setup. 3600 armor on a Coercer with 7-8 tech II pulses fitted with Scorch S will ruin any frigate class pilot's day and drones pop faster then I can lock them!
I also use the Coercer on lvl 2 missions since it's a pure adreneline rush. There's nothing worse then playing games on easy mode...
I suppose the 4.5m skill points I have into Gunnery skills helps too. Afterall, I am flying a mini-gunBoat.
Next, I'll be getting into a Harbinger! My rule of thumb is "never fly it without t2 guns" and I'm 12 days from those Heavy Pulse II's!!
I had thought about moving into the Abadon. But I'm going to abstain for at least 2-3 months if not longer. Tricking out the BC's to their fullest is my current goal.
Mining is not too bad right now, think I'll stick to that and some fighter drones and then see what I want to try.

Drones + Gal ships is a good way to go. Advanced Drones V sending out 10 T2 drones is one hell of a force to reckon with.
325m3 Drone Bay = 13 Heavy Drones (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I don't use alot of heavies)

Sorry if I'm going a bit OT, but I was thinking of starting with a Vexor and see if I like it. Get some skills to really see what the ship can do! Thanks for the info btw
