Crappy Trial Download

CaptainRPGCaptainRPG Member Posts: 794
I wanted to try the new trial for EQ2 and it has taken me 24 hours (and
still taking me hours) to download the trial. I've had no problems
downloading other trials, but EQ2 just seems to have endless content to
download.

Not sure why it took that long. It only took me 4 hours. And you're not just downloading the trial, you're downloading the whole game. The Trial is the only thing you have access to until you register. Then the whole game access opens up to you.

I don't know what to say, but the download took a whole day to get the
bar on the other side and even after the bar was full it still wasn't
done. In fact, it kept adding minutes to the timer.

the download speed is very crappy to say the least, but its woth it.

i spend a good 7-8 hours downloading it so i did it overnight.

right now im downloading the SWG trail just for the fun in the holiday vacation im having, and its been dowloading a good 8 hours now with 9-10 more to go

in that time i have downloaded +/-2 gigs and its about 4.5 gig.. dunno why it takes to long, i can download full DVD's in a matter of hours (800kb/sec) must be their connection.

i heard more complaints about it

I did the trial and I only had access to the fairy. WTF? I wonder whose
the dumbass to make this decision to let everyone be fairies.

That is the new Trial from the expansion Echoes of Faydwer. Not sure what to say. I've never played that trial though i have the expansion. I thought it was cool.

I have nothing against the fairies, I don't want to spend my trial being them.

After  you create your first character, log out and make a second character, every race will be open to you.

ummm Read before u post, You have to be a fairy for your FIRST character only. When u make any other characters u can be any race u want. Its on eq2's homepage.

Don't feel too bad.  I screwed up and logged into my main Station account after downloading the Fae trial.  I don't know wtf I was thinking doing that, but it patched the entire game and took two or three days doing so.

    That was 'teh dumb'.

    @ caiptainrpg:

You can also be other classes then the FAE in that trial, just create 1 FAE class, then after that you will be able to create other classes aswell.

You did chose to download the playthefae.com trial yourself to play the FAE race :)

anyway i suggest setting aboard the looks anyway (i thnk they rock) since all the FAE zones are absolutely stunning!
