in MapleStory

the big but...maple story would be great for kids ages 1-11 i think in the demands of rpgs u cant make a game like this its

extreamly easy to hack (i dont play but i have heard) it reminds me of ragnarok-offline....i just dont see this game in my christmas list

    Maplestory isn't that bad a game, It's just lacking of variety in items and quests and can have a lot more content implemented into the game. Just try playing it and stop making assumptions about the game being only for little kids.

    MapleStory isn't a bad game it just doesn't make my personal favorite list. I think the one thing that really ruins this game is the community. The community in this game is horrible! At least that's what I ran into. People were constantly being rude to me (like insulting my character for being "weak" or being rude for not giving them money) and I constantly had mobs stolen from me so often I spent most of my time on the emptiest channel I could find.



    On the plus it's a cute little game that's not bad for being free. I enjoyed playing around with my character. Leveling can be a bit of a grind but for like a half hour at a time it was fun. (Something to kill time with.) The controls were also really simple.



    Also, as far as the hacking, the staff has really tried to their best to stop hacking. It takes some effort to hack it but then again most MMO's can be hacked just as easily. Perhaps it seems like it is easier to hack simply because it's free. It's harder to control hackers when there isn't really a way to punish them like banning them in subscription based games.



    So it's not a bad game. I wouldn't call it just a kiddie game. It just takes a certain type of person to enjoy it. I think people who are more into the cuteness of it and are real part time MMORPG'ers might enjoy it if they can get a group of friends together.

    Haha, wow Easternwind, I wish I could actually be bothered writing a post like that because I've always wanted to but I just get lazy. You basically sum up why Maplestory shouldn't be considered bad and list the pros and cons. Yeah, honestly I don't really enjoy playing Maplestory, but the game keeps me playing because I have a large group of friends who play it and it's just socially satisfying playing with them. If they weren't there I probably woulda stopped playing ages ago. Indeed the community is bad, extremely bad. If you got a group of friends to hang out with, it's just pure fun. :D

    If you wanna relax...? Heh, Maplestory doesn't let you relax. It's grind after grind after grind, never-ending. It's just annoying. But fun. :D

I'm Lev. 22, and it takes FOREVER to lev. And along with the hacker part, Wizet is trying their best. Some people report cause somebody KS'ed them. IT seems that Maple sea GM's ban more than global GM;s

    wat bugs me is that ive tried to make mmorpg and personally it is hard work. so if you can come up with a mmo as good as maplestory then u can say it sucks. but really...it is a lot of grinding but do 2d graphics really make MS a bad game? just a thot.

    i think in maple story there should be other things that just killing like i know there is quests but most of them involve killing or walking to far i rekon its stupid

    I started playing this game about 2 weeks befor x-mas i has not taken that long to lvl to lvl 26. They have 4 different professions and the game is very fun. They resently made Target Game crads where you can buy in game extras. It is a wonderdul game! I love to play it but you have to have friends who play or it can get boring! i have atleat 5 friends who play and it makes it fun with us all being different profession i would give the game a 8/10 because its not 3D and there are imachur people and hackers thruout the game but the Nexon and Wizet staff try there hardest to pwn hackers the GM's K.O.ed atleat 50 hackers today! Hacker responded in the following . hahah okay well i would say PLAY THIS GAME. GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!
