If you feel that I was wrongly warned please let them know.  I am sure this will be removed and I will be banned for posting this, but this is a joke.  





May I ask how I am harassing him when it is he that is trolling the DDO forums harassing anyone that post in there?  I have done my part to be a good citizen on this site and posted a lot of postings, but if you guys think it is more important to ban me for sticking up for a game that you advertise on the site, then so be it.  I will be sure to drop a note to Turbine and let them know that you support their product by letting people blatantly post crap and then ban those that counter that crap.

    Don't let him win. Just ignore his posts and if he posts something misleading just reply with a correct response and do not refer to him in your reply.

    In neuronomad's defense, DDO is not the only forum the Capt. likes to talk in. Neurono, let it slide. I've learned after a few bans myself it's easier to get them to overstep and hang themselves.

    Hey dude, don't sweat it, I know it's not nice especially when we know the culprit is the one at fault, at least you can be safe in the knowledge that NO-ONE LISTENS TO HIM, that much is clear!

    Besides, I wouldn't take a warning from a moderator on this site seriously, especially as they can't seem to spell the word 'desist', what a bunch of jokers! This site is hardly the pinnacle of gaming journalism, seems to me if you can hold a pen, then you can write editorials for this site!

    You must not leave until you free Arlos and have gathered your party safely in this hallway.

    Honestly the only reason that he has gotten to me so much is because of his seeminly free run to trash talk the game and the players.   I don't mind people sticking up for what they think (which is obvious) and I have been known to flip my opinions before.  I really like this site and even with some people that I have disagreed with before like SnaKey at least they haven't went into an particular forum and felt the need to reply to every topic and posting with trash talk about the game and those that choose to play it.   That was what got my goat.



    But you are right about the moderators.  It is clear (at least to me) that this is a case where the mod has failed the forum they are moderating.  They continued to allow him to keep up the trash talk which he knew that someone gullible like myself would fall into the trap of getting into an arguement with him.   If the moderator (in my opinion) had been doing their job they would have told him to stop his baiting people long ago.

     

    By the way, yeah I thought the "decist" part was funny but as I am guilty of never checking my typos I just ignored it.

     

    Thanks guys for pointing out that I just need to let CaptainRPG slide.  Surely one of these days the moderators will see the path that he has lead the DDO forum down.    Had I just listend to my own postings were I stated I would ignore him and let him continue making a fool of himself things would be different.

    If you look in every single game forum on this site, there is usually one guy that hates on a particular game and they spend all their time for that cause.  Negative posters also seem to have much more staying power because they are very commited to proving their right looking for some sort of acknowledment from the community that they have a keen insight that we don't possess.   He has a right to his opinion as do you and I so let him speak his mind and most people with half a brain ask themselves the basic question.   Why is this one guy posting in every thread?  When they are trying to get some insight to a potentially new game.   I know thats what I do when I am interested in something new.   You can quickly spot the informative posts from the down syndromish posts.

    Perhaps this "troll" has had enough of the official fan boards that Turbine maintains for DDO. Look at the volume of crap that the Turbine apologists post there and you would think that the game has more subs than WoW and is the end all and be all of MMOs. Post something critical and a certain group, mostly names starting with Vs will jump on you. That's ok by Turbine, saying anything critical is not. The boards look nicer there since they banned or silenced most people who don't tow the line. It's sad and clearly the sign of a game with problems. It's good that other boards not beholden to the publisher allow some dissent to get out, It may actually help the game as opposed to the censorship simply making people give up on ever getting anything fixed.
