Any good Space MMO's?

Are there any Space based MMORPG's out there? Ive played...

Earth and Beyond... Quit that when the Screwed up the Explorer class to where you couldent mine High grade ore (put nice surprises in some of the roids, LVL 55 + creatures that i couldent kill) basically took away my whole source of income that was WORTH anything.

Eve ONLINE... Loved this game but i quit on principle.  Its sad when a company cators to the large groups in a game.  Several smaller group "CEO's" spoke out about this to the developers and got banned for it.  Then when you asked "HELPERS/CSR's" in the help chat they basically said dont bring up that subject or you will be banned.  Left that game on principle alone... ohh what do you expect im american and i enjoy .. oh whats that called... oh ya my freedom to b**ch.

Currently in StarWars Galaxy's *working towards JEDI* while i dont agree with the road you have to travel to get your jedi im currently on it... only to unlock a buggy/underpowered/low defensed/ overpriced/over griefed/under developed/and most ignored class in the game.  Not to mention the Devs listen to the stupid masses vrs. the intelligent minority more often then not in that game. 

Ive also tried UO (baja shard), EQ (relos Zek & Race war server,forgot name)

So alas im searching for a decent Space based game and i dnot know where to find it.... so im just continueing to play SWG until something good comes out.. anyone have any suggestions? thanks

P.S. i did check the MMORPG list and not a whole lot intrested me... woooo i want to be a pirate ARRRRRRRRRRRR.

    i have been looking for a good space game myself  shame there really isnt a good one E&B was the first real crack at a space but the design was poor hopefully game maker will get off there buns and make us a decent space game  maybe star trek online or something of the sorts

    Since you left eve there'S only Darkspace really.
    Maybe Jumpgate but it'S very old and based on joystick skills (wich is a cool thing but might not appeal you if you look for a typical MMORPG).

    Darkspace has a free trial so i suggest you look into that one.

    Adding my DarkSpace vote.

    People who liked E&B will love DarkSpace.  People who hated E&B, but want a space game, will love it even more.

    You have to understand something about Eve. It's based on games that have been around for about 10yrs now, they are all pretty much the same.

    The Bigger the Badder (usually better than bigger) your Corporation/Alliance/Clan/Etc. is the better the game is. Eve was based off browser games or the original half-text based MOG (I forget the name), so they catered to THAT crowd, not really a crowd of ppl from UO or EQ or w/e their previous games were. The game has alot of depth and you really need to get more into it before you poo-poo like that. I'm sure those ppl were banned for whinning about it everyday, and really getting on other's nerves.

    Please dont misunderstand what i meant by the game catering to a certain type of people most games are written for a specific audience to maximize there sales and user potential, i understand that.  What i was referring to that the developers of the game decided to Give the biggest groups "playing the game", as in clan/corp or what have you, first crack at new technology,items,weapons,ships and items.  Letting them make massive amounts of money and leaving the little people and the smaller groups out to fend for themselves and begging for scraps.  In my eyes thats me paying for a game and the devs not giving me a fair chance to even get good loot without paying an ourageous price for it.  And no they didnt complain over days this all happend of the course of 2 days.  In my eyes its not fair to give one set of paying customers first crack at something as if they are your bread winners, which they are not.  Most games put new stuff in neutral locations or at the very least cator to the "older members" and put it on high lvl MOB.  That was not the case here they blantly put items/loot what have you in the area that this large group was in "on purpose" seeing how there were over *if memory serves me 1000 differnt solar systems and mutlitudes of different sectors.  So no i dont think im gonig to pay for scrapes.. those icelanders can pucker up and kiss my ***! 

    But thanks for the pointing me to the other game :)
