MMORPG Winner! Then it tells me I am disqualified?

I get an email from mmorpg.com saying that I am the winner of a holiday contest.
I am asked for a lot of required information which I would not normally put into a website but I trusted (past tense) you so I try it.
Then it says I am disqualified and gives no reason at all? What the hell is wrong with you people that would make you think that is ok?

The most likely reason was that you didn't respond in the 24hour period to claim prizes.
" Winners will have to confirm their prize within 24 hours by visiting the web page described in the winner email instructions. Winners are confirmed on a first come - first serve basis. Only the original recipient of the prize email is eligible to win. Winners will be required to respond within 24 hours to claim their prize. If after this time no names have been confirmed, we will disqualify remaining tickets and select the remaining winners by a method of our choosing."
