Strange, today i was on mmorpg.com game list and i take the games by ratings, but it was difrent from the main page.
1st GW:NF
2nd EVE
3rd GW:P
4th EQ2
5th raizom
6th DAoC
7th GW:F
At the main page we have
1st EVE
2nd GW:P
3rd EQ2
4th rayzom
5th DAoC
6th CoH
7th CoV
MMO staf have taken out GW "expantions" because they are all on top 10?Wen we have CoH and CoV in the front page.CoV is also a stand alone expantion, and nowadays they are sold together.
I see mmorpg.com doing execive advertise of EVE and they eleminate GW:NF so EVE can stand at the botom(just my opinion isnt a fact).Atention i like EVE

I'm guessing that he was complaining that the ratings were changed somewhere so that eve could be in the top slot... I think.

He's trying to alledge (in his opinion) that the reason the Guild Wars expansions have been merged into one listing (have they?), is inorder to help EVE up to the top of the ratings list. This is due to the fact that EVE does alot of advertising on this site, he gives an example of CoH and CoV and asks why these stand alone products aren't also given the same treatment?
He has a point however guildwars does plenty of advertising when a new expansion comes around. As to the comparison with GW expansions and CoV/H I can't say as I haven't played CoV/H.
Besides EVE is just better, is that so hard for you to accept?

I love EVE, i started to play GW a few days ago.i just play it wen i am not on EVE.
I am not saing EVE is beter or worst.
i just noticed strange thing here at mmorpg.com, like eve won best PVE, EVE have good pve but is far from best

However his point is specious, I think. I'd bet that the two different rankings simply pull from different places - one has older data than the other.
Drop the admins a line, and let them know. I doubt they are conciously trying to push GW down the list.
What is it about MMORPG? It seems like every third post sees great conspiracies for/against games/countries/people...

Well I'm a rabid EVE fanbois and I have no trouble with anyone that might have less than perfect view of EVE.

The reason why the various guildwar expansion packs were combined into 1 position on the top 10 listing is because ther was a Big Whohaa from most of the community about how the game Guildwars and its expansion packs took up 4 places on the top 10. There fore lessening the choice of games for people new to the site to chose there game. Back then it was either a guildwars title or 6 otyher games when it should have been a guildwars title and 9 other games.
So in the interest of fareness Guildwars was condensed into one position. As to why COH/COX didnt recieve the same treatment, While i agree it would be fare to do the same to them they however are not in the top ten aart from the occasionall visit by COX at number 10.
Also Guildwars is not a true MMORPG its rather a CORPG [this was stated by Guildwars devs BTW].
EDIT:- Just remembered you do need both COH/COX to get all the features so they are not trully seperate games. you ccan jus town one copy but i belive this limits what PvP zones you can visit as some of themk are in the opposing city.

You need all expantions on GW if you want to have all skills for your char, factions had new things to pvp also...

They are just in difrent places here at mmorpg.com, my complaint is why the front page have a difrent game in 1st place?
I understad GW have lots of "expantions" and have them all on top 7 isnt a good adertise to other games, but we have CoX in the same situation, and is treated difrent.
Witht he guildwar expansions you dont need any other game to fully play the game you can access all the good bits.
With the COH/COX games you need both to have full access to PvP as some of it for example if you own COX will be on the COH sever so you need the COH game i order to access that part of it.
But the main reason guioldwars is treated differently is becuae it made top to unlike COH/COX which only occasionally makes number 10 with one of the 2 games.
Now this is not a bad thig as ity shows that Guildwars despite not being a MMORPG is still very popular and almost number 1 too [mainly because its free of course].
You can't have all the classes if you don't have all the guild wars. Just as you can't have all the zones/ATs if you don't have both CoH and CoV.
I agree they should be treated the same. Both are shared world, but they are stand alone - you can buy any one GW and play.
