Any recent info on the following?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I've looked in a few places but haven't come up with any good information on the following or at least nothing recent.  This has probably been discussed but I'm new here so I'm still searching for info.

1. PVP

Will pvp be like WoW with races vs races?  Or   Will it be like SWG where you can turn pvp on and off?  I'm thinking they'll probably have pvp servers but even then how will it work?

2. Crafting

I read where it'll be more then just click click click like in SWG where you had to grind like mad, doing the same thing over and over not to mention it cost a lot to master a profession like Architect which ran about 3 million just to master.  I think I read somewhere where they said you would have to make things for npc's to gain experience.  But this was a while back, anything new on this?

3. How many av's per server?

I'm hoping at at least 2 per.

4. .Diplomacy

What exactly is this?  Is it more or less like Politician in SWG even though Politician was nothing in that game. But any quick rundown on what this is suppose to be? And will this take up room that you could otherwise use for something else, like crafting or fighting skills?

    1) No one knows, but there will be PVP Servers at launch.

    2) Crafting is smooth, and you can harvest your own resources. You can grind if you like, and it's not easy to master. Crafting takes skill.

    I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

    In fact, forget the SWG!!!!

    1.  Sigil has promised to have alternate pvp rulesets but at release they may onlky have one generic ruleset.

    4. Dilpomacy preview

    Good Summary of the game.
    Aka ( From the preview you posted )...Diplomacy =  A card game.

    Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

    Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:

    GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

    1. extremely unbalanced I'm afraid. There is no indication that Sigil can spare effort towards a good PvP, they have plenty of problems to deal with anyhow



    2. I don't get it. Honestly. I love crafting in MMOs. I spent many hours with it and I still don't get it. Where is the skill or the fun in it? It is completely deterministic, anyone possessing basic arithmetical skills can figure out how to distribute the 'action' points. The problem is that once you figure out these (say after 10 tries), it turns into just clicking, but now you need to click 20 times to craft a single item.



    3. diplomacy - know nothing about that.



    FYI: just for the fun of it I loaded up my level 3 character for a little exploration. Started swimming, around a big rock then out to the shore and kept running. And kept running, and running, there was nothing interesting in sight. Just the same shoreline, literally nothing of interest. Not a mob, not a rock, a bush or any object washed to the shoreline. It was like the moon, just some textured landscape.



    After 20 minutes of this the game crashed ...

    Yes, welcome to the torture the rest of us have been enduring.

     

     

     

    (Disclaimer: The game is not really that bad.  But it is severely lacking in strong points.)
