The 500 MMORPG.COM winners should have gotten a message from Themis asking you to provide your account from their beta registration page. I believe it also contained a link to a web page to enter that information.
If you did not get this let me know and I can forward your info to them. Many people did not get them presumably from spam blockers with their ISPs.
However, I think those that went this far are still waiting for final acceptance. The main problem is that the whole Themis team is at the GDC (Game Dev Conference) and they will not be back until tomorrow...so hopefully we can straighten it all out then.

Well, according to news on the front page, open beta for Ryzom will start in April. So after we won and couldn't join up, everybody will be able to join up in April? I guess good news for everyone that didn't win, but the people that had to wait might be upset. At least you won't have to wait much longer.

I got in, though not through MMORPG.COM contest.
It must still be in a fairly early stage as it's pretty boring with a lot of missing content.
That part right there CLEARLY explains it all. WE NO LONGER HAVE TO BE MAD AT THEAMIS!!! Yay, no wonder it took so long so they were busy. Now we just have to wait this week and see waht happens
I have done the whole 9 yards and am still waiting, though I am aware that the Themis team was at the GDC from postings at the world-of-ryzom website. They let us know that it would be 2 to 3 business days after the confrence before the final e-mails went out, so I looks good for Tuesday or Wednesday.
Nmbr 6, watch out for that old so and so Number 2 and his friend Rover. JaDrake..John Drake :>)
I got an email from Ryzom saying I had won, yadda yadda yadda, 48-72 hours, more yadda bs yadda yadda.
Actually, I'm now glad I am not playing the game. I might have liked the game, but with the way the company is handling communication with 500 people who "won" beta accounts, I'm sure I don't want to have to pay them anything. Imagine how hard it's going to be to unsubscribe your credit card charges if it's this hard just to get information about their own contest!
This is not a knock on MMORPG.com. I am aware they aren't running the game. This is a knock on the way the game Co is handling their own PR. (Before you all start jumping, screwing 500 people around on a Beta they were supposed to have won is bad PR regardless of whether it was meant as a PR move or not. Even a simple email explaining a delay would go over much better than a load of silence.)
I received the email. Follow the link to their site. Filled in that info and it stated that I would hear back from them in a few days. That was the last I heard from them. I understand they are at the conferance and will post next week if I still have not heard anything.
An update. Themis says that:
a) Those that have gotten as far as the above posted (DizTorDed) will be getting your next notice for client dowload in 2-3 days. They are apparently trying to prepare their network for that kind of bandwidth (500 users at once on a file that big requires some serious bandwidth!) as well as a system to download the client (previous testers were mailed a CD).
b) They have still not decided on the DATE for open beta. It will be in April, but when in April is TBA.
Hope this helps...

It is possible they just forgot about you.

This whole thing is like a blind date gone terribly bad.
It is over between me and Themis before it even got started . . . enjoy.

I got into it fine, would log in and see only 10-30 people on the server. I never got offf the newbie island but it seemed pretty small, and not a whole lot to do. The interface drove me crazy, and even crafting irked me. My crafting tool would randomly unequip after making something. The graphics need work also.
Anyway I stopped playtesting, and got the e-mail for the next beta 3 build but I'm not going to bother. I'm not saying ryzom is bad jus tsaying it seems really early for them to start playtesting since some of the stuff you spend xp on isn't even implemented yet. So it becomes frustration earning the xp and then buying a cool sounding skill and nothing.
