It's nearly impossible to blow away a game with 7.5million subscribers. It hasn't even reached it's peak yet, when the Chines begins to play the game they will get thousands or even millions of more players. Do not expect the unexpected, cause the chance of it happening is to small.
China is already playing Warcraft, 3 million of the 7 million Warcraft players are from Asian, alot being Chinese.
Personally i think warcraft is hitting its peak in terms of subscribers
You have got it wrong, many of the peoples in china can't afford to play WoW. There are actually around 4 millions who play WoW in Asia, but the most of them are from Korea. I think WoW is far from reaching it's peak. He is not wrong, The9 and Blizzard launched WOW in China on June 7, 2005.
BTW, there is 20 millions people only in Shanghai (and WoW is huge in Shanghai) and I am pretty sure most of them make more money than you.
Get a life you freaking Gamer.....no no, you don't understand, I'm a Gamer, I have many lives!!
The more and more I read up on this game the more it appears to me like it will indeed be the 'WOW Destroyer'. I can only think of 2 other games that had as much hype behind them that WAR has and that was Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft.
As long as this game does not lay a egg like SWG did or become a repetative grind machine that WOW did then it will indeed reign supreme in the MMORPG world IMO.

It won't be able to beat the ammount of subscribers World of Warcraft, yet it might have some players turn the other cheek. I mean you never know. It seems that when a new MMORPG comes out that is really anticipated, subscribitions may drop a few months later. It's normal, but it seems Blizzard has been doing some brute force marketing? Well whatever to make that money. You got to remember that most people don't follow mmorpgs. Thus we will never know if this will ever be able to beat World of Warcraft. If possible, maybe overtime but not necessarly now.
Do you all realise people said the EXACT SAME THING about Lineage years ago?
I recall a very large number of people saying that the upcoming World of Warcraft could not possibly overtake Everquest and other popular MMORPGs in terms of subscribers, too! Yet another fine reason why one should never say 'never'; sometimes the unexpected and really bizarre does happen after all.
I cannot speak for others and refuse to partake in guessing as to how people will react to Warhammer Online, but I can note my own experiences. I played and greatly enjoyed World of Warcraft for a long while, stopping only several months ago. Even then, however, I felt that the only reason I was playing was to bide time for a new MMORPG --- and this is coming from the most easily-amused woman on Earth! The Burning Crusade seems interesting, but it includes nothing shockingly new for me. By the time Warhammer Online releases in late 2007, I am not certain what Blizzard will have available, but if their history with World of Warcraft is any indication, they will likely have released a couple of game updates, maybe a new Battleground or two, and possibly will be preparing for a second boxed expansion. Warhammer, though, will likely offer a vastly improved and new experience for me. I, for one, will most likely be an early preordering customer. Surely I'm not so nutty that at least some others will not have the same ideas!
I dont think really think WAR will be competing with anything honestly... except perhaps DAoC. Contrary to people making comparisons to WOW they really arnt similar.. by that I mean WOW is a heavly PvE based game where as WAR is focused heavly on RvR .. which WOW doesnt even have really. Yes WAR will have a PvE system ..and apparently a fairly detailed one ..but the focus like DAoC will be the conflict between the realms. AoC is a completly different game .. if in no other way then the fact that the first 20 levels are played as a single player game. Darkfall may end up in compitition only because it too is a Pvp based game ..but even then I just dont see Darkfall having as heavy a draw. And no ..I dont think WAR is a WOW killer ..but I think WAR is going to be very well recieved by all those who are tired of grinding dungeon raids and want a more in depth pvp style experience... and I do think WOW will see a decrease in numbers but nothing game killing. hehe.
Just in case someone missed it(since some people weren´t sure about it). In Blizzards latest press release they said to have reached 8 million subscribers. 3.5 Million of those are in China! 2 million in NA(including NZ etc I guess) and 1.5 million in Europe. The missing million I would guess are in other asian contries.
Anyways, since Warhammer has such a large fanbase, and is looking to be exceptionally good, my guess is that within a year it could have 1 million+ subscribers in NA + Europe. If it can keep it up that is. But it will never ever beat WoW because Blizzard simply has too great a fanbase to even begin playing with the idea of it... The only game that could beat WoW is another game by Blizzard, like World of Diablo or something like that. Diablo 2 also sold more games than Warcraft so I hope they will make a game like that :]
Well here is my 2 cents this game might not unseat wow but there is a game out there that will sooner or later it is only for so long that they can keep ppl happy with that kinda of game play. There are lots of games that are coming out in 2007 and 2008 that will change the way ppl look at a mmo's. Me myself played wow for 2years got burn out and still played becuase i got some of my friends to switch from ffxi to wow so i felt like i had to say to be fair to them. Bu there are many ppl that play wow only to kill time and use it like a chat room with there friends and stuff. This game as peaked my intrest it looks like it has what it takes to be a good game. But only time will tell for sure sure right. ... until then let's watch and see what this game does
And i guess if blizzard ever does gets unseated guess they will just make world or starcraft right

I personally think this is going to wipe the floor clean of all MMO's on the market, not just Warcraft.
EAMythic are using the realm-v-realm system that worked brilliantly for DAoC, and they possibly have the best license for an MMO in a long time (except maybe Star Trek Online).
PVP will be fantastic in W.A.R, and I think EAMythic will learn from Warcraft's mistake of crazy 'gank-fests' all the time.
Procedural quests should be fun too . . . oh and also they arn't doing the classic Warcraft thing: "go kill me 10 boar" <<--- this will be non-exsistent in W.A.R. It's all about beating each other up!
I don't believe Mythic has the necessary qualities to actually beat WoW, but it is not impossible and if they can prove me wrong and make a great game that I would enjoy on top of that, well I would be overjoyed.

If they are saying Q4 of 07 it will more than likely be Q1 of 08.
After being a mythic customer for years, If they say Q4 its most likely going to be Q4. They never delay anything even when unfinished like TOA.
The game is prolly more ready for release than many other titles where at release, even now, as we speak. I suspect they delay it because AoC will prolly release earlier...avoiding to release at the same moment of a competitor sounds like a good move to me, neither them nor AoC would benefit from a release at the same moment. They will lose some players who may be addicted to AoC by release, but they would also be ready to claim in any bored players.
Good marketing move IMO, as long as AoC don't delay and get to close to them, in which case it would hurt them both.
