SWG 2, TO TWITCH? OR NOT TO TWITCH?

i have this feeling ... that swg 2 is on the horizon ...

now here are the real questions ...

A) Do we want FPS? (twitch)

or older school MMORPG attack menus and targeting? ( min/maxing)

B) Do we want COMPLEX CRAFTING? ( slower, more economically oriented game and pvp) 

or less complex console-game type crafting? ( faster, less centered on economics, money doesnt have much to do with power or pvp)

C) Do we want COMPLEX PVP AND GCW BATTLE?(slower, more team oriented, better for real time events, and planned server events, guild wars )

 or shoot em up free for all/challenge pvp no holds barred no organization  (faster, join in the fray type of action, not limited, less immersive, not as much planned events and wars)

D) Do we want a COMPLEX character system ? ( more customizable character growth, more options larger variety of characters, min/maxing)

or a simple one ( easier for younger players, less planning involved in growth, less stress in volved in planning template )

whats the deal ?

    So you mean exactly opposite of the NGE?  lol...

     

    Even the twitch system is not really full twitch.. it's a bastardized version of it.

    Still, SWG2 means we would have 2 SWG's. That would or could mean 1 is FPS or NGE and one is traditional, PreCU.

    Played: DAoC,AC2,EvE,SWG,WAR,MXO,CoX,EQ2,L2,LOTRO,SB,UO,WoW.
    I have played every MMO that has ever come out.

    TBH any one will be ok as long as it's fun... and sadley SWG is not fun right now

    2. devs will be forced to understand star wars cannon make them read the wookepedia!

    Well I doubt you'll see a SWG2, for the same reason you never heard of Titanic2 But that doesn't mean there won't be another SW game, just doubt they'll want to associate themselves with the current fiasco called SWG. That and not knowing all the legal crap involved with the name of SWGalaxies I'd say it would be a cold day in hell if LA let SOE get their paws on the next version of a SW game.





    With that being said I'd hope for a Tuned and Tweaked SW2 using alot of the Pre-CU game mechanics.



    NO TWITCH. It's prone to hacks, lags the hell out of everything, and bascially blows in a MMO setting. Pre-CU with target lock, range modifiers, min/max, and the like was the most fun and viable.



    Complex Crafting, not much room for improvement from what it was like pre-cu.



    A real and invovled GCW where Team Tactics and Strategy count and the War actually has real meaning/results.



    Real Player balancing, ala mitigation for Melee in PVP, so you can have tanks in PVE without them being overwhelming in PVP like melee stackers were Pre-CU.



    Skill Point System like Pre-CU with similar choices for templates, stat modifiers, specials, and weapons.



    Definitely no stupid ass combat levels.



    More dungeons like DWB, Geo Lab, ect ect.



    More themeparks like Emp Retreat and Jabbas.



    More monthly and weekly Story Arcs that actually go somewhere, not just suddenly end for no reason. Droid Invasion, Tusken Invasion, Ewoks, Reb NPCs in Bestine, ya get the point.



    A bigger focus on Space with more content. Like capital ships, Factional Stations you can land on and interact inside, smaller Adventure planets so instead of 1 Kash you get 10 VARIED planets/moons.





    Basically just look at the history of SWG, use what worked and what the players liked, don't make the same mistakes SOE did, and the number one way to get a great SW2 MMO is,



    DON'T LET SOE WITHIN A THOUSAND MILES OF IT!!!
