I can not count how many requests from 1 poster accounts have been appearing since buddy invites have opened. People seem to think MMORPG open beta forums have anything to do with closed beta buddy invites. I myself like to stay on topic and wish this sort of thing would be sent to the spam section.



ps. votes from the people who are asking for invites dont really count but i guess i cant filter you people :P

    Think about a time when you really, really , really wanted something.... and all you had to do to get it was ask?

    Sure it's a pain to the eyes, but alot of people have been doing a major favor and asking inside dedicated forums, instead of flooding everywhere with petitions. Here's hoping that others will follow their lead.

    Some people make things happen.
    Some people watch things happen.
    Some people wonder what happened.

    I think its darn annoying. Create one thread and put all the requests in that.

    Well, Cabal's "closed beta" is a lot like Gmail's "closed beta" in that there was never anything closed about it, just a system in place to prevent a bot-scripted generation of accounts through HTML screen scraping.  In that regard, discussing the game in here doesn't seem to be off topic.



    That being said, yet, it's pretty uncouth to make open requests in a new thread.  I think threads that are created to just ask for an invite should be deleted as spam.

    Forums are for discussion not about making accounts only for spamming "GiMME inVITE plZzzzz!!11!" (one of those accounts had almost 30 posts, all where the same spam-line).
    I doubt all of the new accounts will use the key but instead try to sell/exchange it.

    Also on the same note, making a NEW thread for each spam-account is also just plain stupid, there are atleast 2 big threads that are for invites.

    I don't mind it because: if all requests go into a single thread, chances are MUCH higher that you will NOT get whatever it is you are trying to get because it makes it much more difficult for the giver to give when he doesn't know where to start. Unless the thread was very well structured, but a very few of those have ever existed. YOUR chances are much higher when you are the first person to ask or if you are even on the 1st or 2nd page. As those threads are easily and quickly flooded with requests to the 5 page, making getting an invite very difficult if you are in the middle or last. Besides this section isn't only for discussion, it can be used for questions, and statements, opinions, information, etc. It is not limited to one thing so asking for something that is related to the section is perfectly reasonable. Also there is a simple way to make people happy (or even more angry) by making your plead, but also include a poll (would be the most simple way) asking what is your favorite open beta MMORPG/ MMOFPS currently available? or something along the lines that it is related to this section and different from pleading.

    you opinion also doesn't matter to me because you just joined mmorpg forums to ask for an invite notice how the mods here graciaously put htem all in one post. i got to give them a hand shake for that because i know it took a long time.

    Yea the feeling is mutual. You don't matter to me much. Most of your posts( as I did not look through all of them since I fear them to be even more redundant than the few pages I have looked through are) are just being putting down games, complaining about leechers, and being rather rude in most of your posts. I view people on forums through the value of their posts, not by the post count of date joined. Besides I really don't care much for forums since I don't use them very often and if i do then it is only to find out what new games there are and I have better resources for that. I only signed up to this forum to see if i could request some keys for games that I would like to try and it worked. I also post to topics that I have a strong opinion to and when I disagree to posts that seem illogical and flawed.
