9 Dragons.
I do get the sense i've been thrown into the deep end with this game, however, I am haveing so much fun at the moment, and thats the most important thing.
I love the way skills work, how rage is implimented and while i've only been playing for a week or so, can see myself playing this game for a time to come.
Is it a grind fest? Possibly later on down the track, but as of now, i'm working towards leveling my skills and finding a nice new weapon.
I like the history and story of each of the 9 dragaons and clans, well worth reading from the 9 Dragons website.
I've played Rappelz heaps in the past, and as well, the more kiddy rpg, Flyff (both by the same companies) i've spent countless hours on runescape and even tested voyage century out briefly, along with dungeon runners.
This game stands well above all of them in my honest opinion, and i'm looking forward each day to get home from work, and jump on into my saber wielding martial artist.
I've played many P2P games also, Warcraft (which i absolutley loved and still rate as one of my best gaming experiences until i hit lvl cap 60 twice) Ragnarok Online, Dungon and Dragons (which made me nearly cry) and of course, City of Villains, which if it had more content, would make this an otherwise very brilliant game, but as it stands now, is just fun for a month or two.
As i stated, you do get the feeling you've been thrown into the deepend, but if you, like me, enjoy a little challenge and exploring of a new MMORPG to the western market, give it a shot.
Cheers,
Ginetti.

Agree this game is in no way in the same category as Guild Wars graphics...

I dont think you can jump, but your attack animations often involve a jump move here or there.
PVP is strong in this game, and its based around which clan you are from, and which alligence you have to other clans.
Crafting is not as yet implimented as far as I know, however you can "combine" certain items, like improving your weapon and armor.
You can for example get your sword to a higher +, but the higher you go, the more chance it breaks, or give it different effects , like bonus to attack.
Same with armor / clothing.
As i said, i'm still new to the game, but really enjoying it thus far.
And to the person that asked for a beta key, as far as i'm aware, and from my experience, the game is now open to play officialy, no beta key required, at least not for the acclaim version.
I simply downloaded the client (around 600 megs) and made an account on the website, and started to play.
Easy as.

I love the way skills work, how rage is implimented and while i've only been playing for a week or so, can see myself playing this game for a time to come. levelling the combat skills are good - buffing / healing so atrocious the only option is to bot
Is it a grind fest? Possibly later on down the track, but as of now, i'm working towards leveling my skills and finding a nice new weapon. dont be surprised if before long u end up in the same spot hour after hour grinding the same mob again and again, only to do the same the next day and the day after etc...
Lol what are you talking about, it contains a Persistant World, Persistent World is the name of the UK company that is hosting 9Dragons. Both games are identicle, just the US version is run by a more well known company, Persistent worlds have only brought out Carpe Diem so far and that wasnt to great. Also i think i read that Persistent World version will be P2P (not 100% sure) but either way i think Acclaim are better IMO.
Back on topic, yes 9Dragons is an awesome F2P game, it really is very, very good with alot of nice new features on how to train skills, internal and external wounds etc, very nice indeed. So far the community is nice, but the game will be absolutly packed when it officially opens due to it being F2P and therefore it will have a HUGE variety of people and no doubt plenty of arseholes, i dont mind though, makes for a more diverse community not everything can be roses, we all know (well some of us) that RL isnt a nice community. Anyways the more people, the more PVP w00t.
