BC makes raiding in wow useless untill the expansion

MentatMentat Member UncommonPosts: 516

With the BC expansion coming out - I have stopped playing. I'm a t2 epic priest - but, see no reason to continue playing untill the expansion. All the hard work with constant raiding is for not - since Wow decided to all but, give away pvp weapons and armor. Raiding gear up to t2 is practically worthless after lvl 62-63 so what's the point untill BC?

Dude, perhaps you should try playing for fun instead of items.... I think your post is proof of the very sad state of mmo's these days.

Sounds like you think WoW is a job.

WoW is a job if you approach it the way the OP thinks. Like you, play to enjoy, not to get the l33t gear.

Yeah, I agree with the majority.

Stop thinking of it as a job.

    Groovy.

Patch 2.0.1 killed raiding until the xpac.

Easy PvP awards made it so most people just PvP and have a lack of interest to raid current "end-game" instances.

Since, all the PvP awards are sidegrades for my main, I just rolled a new class and leveled it to 60 while waiting for the xpac. I'm currently leveling another class to 60, still waiting for the xpac.

    "Whosoever shed last blood
By man shall his blood be shed
For immunity of God make he the man
Destroy all that which is evil
So that which is good may flourish
And I shall count thee among my favored sheep
And you shall have the protection of all the angels in Heaven."

I'm going to wait until the Xpac to roll a new char so I can start in the new zones and do different quests. Should be a hoot.

Heh, I was talking about this just today.

When WoW first came out I played it for about 3 months very casual.  Only hit 40ish.

About a year later my interest came back but I realized I was so far behind everyone gearwise it would take me months and months to catch up.  So, I didn't come back.

I started playing WoW again maybe 3 weeks ago.  And know that if I keep playing I'll be in the running again.  As long as start into BC in JAN or FEB I'll pretty much be even with everyone else.

Get 60, which isn't all the time consuming.  By pass all the tier raiding and just start the BC quest and I'm all caught up.  So instead of needing >1 year to catch up 1-3 months will be enough.  THEN IF I decide to raid or PvP I'll be able to stay caught up.

Heh, you guys is funny - I played for fun AT FIRST - then when your guild starts to do well - new rules start happening, gear gets better - all of a sudden you are signing up for raids, rolling on spots, hanging out on standby etc. I played it for fun but, yeah you guys are right - it is morelike a job now.

Well - that's pretty much why I'm not playing it. And if you want the good epic gear - you play it like a job almost...

You'll maybe get to MC at most with that attitude - the leetsauce guilds require a time commitment and stuff.

I see you guys point but, you can't see the FULL content unless you kinda play it as a job.
