I've been in beta for about a week now and can tell you this game is awesome. But heard rumors that its going to be 14 plus smackers a month. Hoping that its cheaper.........seems a little steep. Has anyone heard the final on this and is there cheaper yearly fees?

Most people on the regular forums are saying $15 a month (well, technically, 14.99). But, I don't know if NCSoft has commented on it yet. I bet they will after the April 7th date when all pre-orders are in.

Anyway, how was the download last week? Was it long and was the connection stable? Any problems disconnecting?

Bro the download was horrible took like 3 hours and have roadrunner cable here. But thats probably because i get home when everyone else does . But gotta tell you that the game rocks.....my favorite part is how friendly peeps are to let you join in and group. Its really a great time for all. Others have said download like 20 minutes guess depends if you work ROFL. All and all think you all will be really excited about game once you get in. They really trying to pack server now....so lettting alot more peeps on. Just got an e-mail today that they opened some new hours of beta test. Supposed to be today also but, cant get in so wondering if they crashed it with peeps. Hope to see you all in the game .

I would easily pay $14.99 a month for this game. Because I will be foregoing all others for it. It will actually save me money in the long run, because I wont be buyin anything new for a LONG time, hopefully!

I inquired to the coh web site on the monthly fee a week or so ago and was told they have not determined the price yet. I'd like to give it a whirl but dont want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Especially after $50 a copy for the game

Totally agree here since I dont know of any game out there that 15 bucks a month. Everquest is about 9 bucks a month....thats more like it. I dont want it to take up all my kids lunch money because they'll have to starve j/k. Seriouly dont think its gonna be 14.95 atleast really hoping not. My friend is beta testing world of warcraft and says he heard that gonna be around 10. The lower the better for us addicted to games.......so we can play more than 1 at a time.

Star Wars Galaxies is $14.99 a month. The kicker is that you're only allowed one character per server.

If City of Heroes is $14.99 a month, but allows multiple characters on one server, I won't mind paying that monthly sunscription.

My point is that they really need to find price so that peeps can enjoy not one online game, but many. Really important to come to a good price that peeps agree is ok. If not peeps remmeber that when buying new games from same companies and have to weigh pros and cons of buying the new one. The thing I hate is like with everquest all the exspansions.............have to pay for everyone of them and they come out with new one every 4 months it seems. Gets a bit exspensive for the consumer when doing this. Understand the get you hooked slogan and all, but if you break the average consumers bank ...................then he really doesnt have anymore money to play your game does he . Gets exspensive monthly rate+ exspasion after exspasion.

I got into the beta, I love the game so far.........but they must think Im crazy if Im gonna pay $15 a month. Plus the cost of the game.....probably $50! Way tooooo much MONEY! I know it has been said before but......its way tooo EXSPENSIVE to play more than one mmorpg at a time. What does everyone think?

Most of the last generation games are already $13 a month. You won't see any new games with decent graphics and gameplay come out for less than that anymore. Most of the newer good games with good graphics will be $15 a month, so get used to it. That is a whopping 6 1/2 cents more per day than the last generation games. If 6 1/2 cents a day makes it or breaks it for you, then you probably shouldn't be blowing any money on online gaming at all.

This game's worth it, IMO.

The beta was more stable than some games that have made it to release, and I've had more fun in CoH the past month or so than I've had in the previous year in other games.

The only concern I have about it is longevity. But hey, if I stop having so much fun, I can cancel my account at the end of that month. No problem.

Well put, n2sooners, I am just flabbergasted at people that complain about a monthly fee. They must have no clue as to economics or real life expences. I to am addicted to online gamming I have three uber gamming machines and had many accounts on EQ and Camelot so I could power level or bot myself. Well guess what? I am not rich and simply had to make some choices. You have to pick your priorities. I presently have no accounts but have preordered and been playing City of Heros. This game is a blast! But does seem to be lacking in content and after two weeks of hard playing seem to be waining in my enthusiasm. Well come Sunday I will be online and starting over with everyone else and I will hope that as time goes by they listen to thier fan base and step up to the plate by adding content. But just like Horizons I played for two months, if it doesn't suck the life out of me then I can always cancel. No one has a gun to my head.

Nuff said, now go out there and kick some booty

I was email a price guide to Lineage 2 yesterday. I would think CoH would be the same 14.99 a month, 13.99 for 3 months, 12.99 for 6, and 11.99 for 12 months, Please don't hold me to this, but I think its right
