  • Warhammer Online is heavy based on PvP matters. So you should kinda figure that out .

I enjoy DAoC PvP system or the old Ultima. So I hope that WO would have a great PvP system otherwise I am not up for it. But yes, I would play WO mostly for PvP, playing PvE is rather..............

I am playing WoW, but this game seems to have (or aim for) a more balanced PvP system then WoWs. So I hope for balanced and fun PvP.

I am going to play this game because its warhammer. It is based around the best fantasy game ever created!

I also like the PvP and RvR, which should be awesome.

PvE is ok sometimes, but PvP is better because it is more of a challenge and alot more fun.

Warhammer has everything a fantasy game needs, hopefuly Mythic can do it justice.

PS: i think you should put in a pole to get a better view of why people are going to play.

    Reasons to play WAR?

    1) PvP: I can start pvping right out of the gate. I can 'level' and gear up my character strictly from pvping. No snorefest PvE grinding for me, thankyouverymuch.

    2) I can kill stunties.

    3) WAAARGH!

  • Much of the entertainment I gain from playing online games comes from spending time with other players, roleplaying, and generally doing whatever pops into my head at any given moment. I tend to lean towards PvE most of the time, but there are exceptions. In World of Warcraft, I spent a considerable amount of time in PvP and became, much to my embarrassment, titled the 'best' PvP player on the server (rubbish, it was all purely divine luck!). I also greatly enjoy PvP in Guild Wars and a few other online games.

However, my main focus is still more on socialising than fighting other players' characters. One aspect of PvP that turns me off a bit is the existence of usually a large amount of boasting, irate arguing, name-calling, and generally childish, immature behaviour found in some players. Fortunately, many of the upcoming Warhammer players seem to be the types who will enjoy PvP for the experience and not as an excuse to insult other players out-of-character.

I am looking forward to Warhammer, then, mostly due to it being a great setting for an MMORPG. It will undoubtedly have a rather devoted and engaged community, and I'm looking forward to taking part in all of the fun! If the PvP experience turns out to be pleasant, then I will definitely leap into it also.

I voted for PVE because I like to group with others to take down bosses and such, but I'm definitely joining for the pvp as well.

I'm actually a traditional pve person myself.  Grouping to take down mobs and/or bosses has always been my cup of tea.  FF11 was great because of this and bad as well :).  And doing 5 man instances in WoW can be fun, provided someone doesn't leave half way though and you can't find a replacement right away.  The last thing I did in WoW was pvp before i quit.  I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.  But you could get greatly out classed when you ran into someone with much better gear than you.  I remember running a instance pvp (Arathi Basin) and getting totally crushed.  Our alliance side had blue gear, no tier 1,2 or 3 gear.  And the horde had all 2 tier gear.  We were defeated quicker than you can say snap!, lol.  It sounds like WAR is going to do pvp right.  And it will matter in the online world a lot more than in WoW.  The other side can actually take control of your capitol if I'm correct.  I just hope the victor will be decided because of teamwork and not who has the best gear.  And then you can pve a little as well.  Here's hoping the pvp is this game will rule!  I have high hopes for this one.  I usually am disappointed when I get my hopes up to high (ex: StarWars: the phantom menace, Superman Returns).  But I can't help myself with this game.

PvP without a doubt. I've always played games for the competition with friends, whether it's with them or against them.
