plenty of Haters a good sign?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

will all the l33tboi kidz go to WAR and AoC?

thus leaving Vanguard for those who play MMORPGs for the enjoyment of the community as well as a huge sandbox with more to do than quest and farm mobs?

i'm hoping the craft is good (perhaps someone who has spent some time trying it out in CB will write a shortish treatise on it for me?), since i enjoy making stuff as well as killing stuff - but more importantly it creates interdependence on a server, and therefore a friendlier more involved population. thats why i want the greifing kidz to go elsewhere

    100% Agreed. Sandbox MMOs are few and far between. I'm really looking forward to Vanguard's full release. People can hate all they want! Either you get on with it, or you leave/don't sub! It's just that simple.

    i've played pretty much every mmo since uo and the pre-graphical era of muds and I think this game sucks. I hate wow...its a junk game....and this game is worse. Instead of advancing the technology of mmo's they just took a few good things from older ones...threw it on an outdated looking setup with crap graphics and made it run like junk. Most new games out blow this out of the water by 5 times graphically and run perfectly...this game runs like crap. The skill system of mashing 2 3 4 5 over and over again is getting really old and needs to be revamped and this game just doesnt do the trick.



    So all you people in denial...get over yourselves, this game sucks.

     And let me guess, you are trying to run it on a laptop or some other outdated mode of gaming apparatus?

    You say this as if youved played or been max level in the game.  Please comment when youve given the game a fair shot when its NOT IN BETA. 



    Whats upw ith these jackass's expecting a finished game in beta or expecting a perfect game at that ?

    wow.. you dont know anything about this game do you... try reading the beta tester stories.   Theres allot more then grinding going on here bud.

    true story, based on my research I believe VG will be top notch, now just for my Beta installer to finish patching so I can give it a whirl

    My guess is VG wont be for everyone.

    I hope its a more mature experience, slightly frustrating to deter the idiots but overall very enjoyable.

    Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
    Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

    D&L had a lot of haters also and a lot of fans. From my experiance trying to warn people about a game is a total waste of time. Better to just keep ones mouth shut and watch in amusement when they scramble around making excuses for the Devs when the game launches and sucks monkey balls. Myself I think the game will fit in nicely with SOEs station pass group. I won't be playing it myself but I knew that a long time ago,  and it wasn't due to listening to someone elses views about the game. People need to make up tweir own minds about this or any other game.

    Im waiting for flieplanet to release the beta keys, but from the few movies i've seens and screenshot the gfx dont impress me much, perhaps cus ive played WoW for so long the realistic gfx style might takes some time to get used it.  This is my first comment on VG I dont think it fair to rate a game I've never played based on graphics and what others say... theres enough of that junk going on over in the WoW forums from EvE fanboys.



    If this game sux /rulesI'll voice my opinion and if its another Archlord I'll drive down to VG HQ and slap each and every employee there.

    The ugly side of interdependance is exploitation(gold farmers, 'buy low, sell high gurus', resalers, etc.). The only real 'cure' I've found for this is to promote a healthy, mature, and tolerant mentality. Buying from a known, honest crafter instead of simply the lowest price on the market is a good example. (which is easier said than done, I know)



    I fear an 'elite only' club will just breed selfishness, hatemongering and trollism.. =L

    Vanguard is not a sandbox game in any true sense of the word.

    I don't know about that. I converted some of the soundtrack and listened to it. Also most of the videos and screenshots feature a 'desert' setting. Sandbox gameplay? Doubt it. Sandbox enviroment? CHECK!

    The thing is, many of the people who write bad things about this game have yet to play it.  They go just by what they either read or by it's screen shots that have been posted.  I read one post where the person was flaming the game based just on a screenshot.  You can not go by this so it's not even worth reading bad reviews, at least not yet anyway.

    I belive its the game we bored mmorpg's have been waiting for. I know for a while now I have been renewing my subs to all the old games I used to play in a futile hope to rekindle some of the old magic they used to hold for me. But something is different, maybe its me /shrug.. none of them seem to hold the same attraction they once did.

    Vanguard is NOT a sandbox game, not even close. It's a loot level game. But that doesn't mean it won't  be a GOOD loot level game. EVE is a sandbox game. Second Life if a sandbox game. Vanguard is nothing like EVE or Second Life (thank goodness).



    Sandbox games usually have big worlds,  but a big world does not a sandbox game make.



    I'm definitely not a l33tboi kidz, and I'll probably try Vanguard for  a few months, at least till I hit the glass ceiling of the level curve, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in WAR as well. I loved the DAoC RvR design and the PvP and I think WAR will be a lot of fun.

    Played it for 3 months, some will like it some wont .



    Me i think ill wait oh say about 1.1/2 years to com back should be a good game by then.. I do belive they are rushing this puppy out a wee bit too soon.



    To all the people out there searching for a NEW mmorpg good luck !i hope you find  what your looking for . ( i havent yet )

    DDO had plenty of haters too as did GW. Now look how well those games are doing...not so good.
