Vanguard will be the right game for you, if you start playing it with the right mindset and the right attituted.
Before you play it, think about the good old days of EQ and Ultima, when you just started out, you had no idea, how to play a MMORPG or what to do, where to go, how to craft or how to survive.
I think Vanguard will give us the same feeling when we start playing it, you will feel lost and helpless in the beginning and scarred but as you gain knowledge of the game and you start playing it more and more you will grow with confidense and fall in love with a awesome game.
You could discuss how bad that is or how its gonna beat this game, etc , but once you fall in love with the game, what will you care what people say about it, all you will do is want to play it, every opportunity you get.
It will be up to us as players to create a living world, filled with mistery and hate and love.
We where given a world we must live it !
I hope when the game gets released you all can enjoyed the moment and relive the past with me.
MMORPG 4Ever !

what he said.
you EQ'ers are going to be very impressed over how awesome this game is.
open beta is on the way...you'll see

Even though naysayers have constantly been babbling things like, "Its nothing but EQ3" and, "Its nothing new and will be terrible.", I am going to play it because I want something new.
Thats right, I said new. People argue that nothing innovative comes out of this game, but I believe this game will be great. If the ideas put into the game are well done and what players want then who cares if it isnt the most innovative game coming out? Its been put together by pros and its a full game of new content and hours of endless gameplay.
"Sir, the fish market is quickly emptying. I need you to out, get me 5 tuna, 4 blue snappers, 3, uh, Darkshore groupers, and 2 goldfish please. And then report to the docks. I'll see you there, goodbye."
Its amasing! For those of you that still think this game will be crap i advise you to test the open beta. An advice tho is to try it with an open mind.. Its not a game where u grind ur ass off hoping to reach the next level. Its totally open and made so you can choose ur path. Play it as you like with ur friends and "Set yourself free" ^^.
I actually dont even have a account of my own yet but ive been testing it on a mates account and all i can say is WOW! Finally a mmorpg that will take the world with a storm!
More over WoW! Vanguard is on its way!
Ah, so the feeling of being lost and loving it will return to me!? YES!!
I was playing EQ at the age of 11 and BAM - it dawned on me my suit of bronze and leather would be endangered if I didn't find my way back to the bandit camp in the Plains of Karana. Guess how long it took? And the journey to Freeport? Never happened until WAY up in there around level 25 or 30, I'd say a good two months of playing.
That being said, "you can only lose your virginity once".
- Hold not your expectations.
I really hope it doesn't let me, and more importantly my mates down... It would be nice to have a good feeling about a game and have it be right for a change

Maybe the reason you never got lost twice, is because you downloaded maps for the MMORPG games you played and you had a little Dictonary to guide you through the game?
I certinly enjoyed learning the game myself, dieing and trying again. What fun is it to go into battle with a guide, all you got to do is think smart, stay alive and let the community guide you through tough times.
We are given a world, its up to us to explore and enjoy it.
Fighting mobs could be job you have in a mmorpg, work can get boring aswell. So you got the opportunity to sometimes take a little break and go on holiday and explore, craft, fish and get to know the community.
When I played Ultima back in the days, I only remember the awesome moments I had in the game eg: One day I was playing and giving my friend a lift on a boat, the next thing, I fell asleep front of my computer and my friend was stuck in the boat for 3 hours. I still remember clearly how pissed he was with me the next day. The things I can't remember is how much Strengh or What lvl I was, So end of the day why play a MMORPG game for being the best? I bet 10 years later you won't remember any of your stats. I think play a game where you create memories and strories you had with people and your friends and your guild. And that you can share with people who don't even play Games, or you could even write a book on it.
MMORPG gives us the opportunity to live in a world, us gamers where suppose to born in it.
HAHA maybe in another dimension or another planet.
