What is Terlum?
Terlum is a
free game set in an island group bearing the same name. Long, long ago it got separated from the rest of the world. The world itself has perished already, so this seperation is no longer a curse but a blessing. They are all that is left now - the eternal world.
Now you can set out on an adventure in the vast lands of Terlum yourself; take on the body of one of the 6 races and play out the story, explore, trade, fight, or just hang around doing whatever you want. You can play the game as the following races:
Humans |
- Versatile but not very good in anything, |
Magicians |
- Masters of magic, yet weak in melee combat. |
Blank |
- Quicksilver beings, capable of morphing their bodies and masters of water. |
Khast |
- Ant-like humanoids, they have incredible strength and perfect teamwork skills. |
Blighted |
- Cursed beings suffering all their lives, hard to kill and very strong. |
Golems |
- Living machines, destroying anything on their path. |

It reminds me of Alex the Kid.---
personally, I wouldn't have used the ripped sprites. I realize that you probably did quite a bit of touch up work and tweaking, but you probably should have attempted your own thing if only to keep out of the way of possible copywrite suites. Slim chance I know, but better to be safe....
I'll check it out later and tell you what I think.
Graphics dont make a game.
Yes they are part of it, but are they the most important part? Well, in my opinion, its a big phat NO. I have enjoyed many games that had dated graphics, and hated plenty of 'beautifuly designed' games with no substance at all.
In fact, i have a few emulators to relive my megadrive (genesis for you in the U.S.), master system, and old arcade days. Who knows, this came could really be lots of fun, and if it has a good community, what more could you want.
These are all things we should judge as well, not JUST the graphics.
I for one will download the game and try it out for myself. Who knows, it could have an awesome PVP system, now that would really be something.
