well, unfortunantly i was unable to subscribe to fileplanet for the open beta testing in time, and by the sounds of some peoples reviews it sounds like i dont want to. However there does seem to be an increasing amount of Naysayers these days, trying to scare people away from one game so that they could look to join another...maybe...thier game?

but I have always been one to enjoy new things, and there are a lot of mixed reviews out there atm. and i dont believe that everyone realizes...its just a Open Beta, there are expected problems!.

anyway this thread was started to see how many will really be buying VOH, i for one will have to think about it. though im thinking maybe yes.

Its "official" because i wnt this to be the thread that everyone goes to to decide on this issue, rather than maaking 2 or 3. so far i have seen a "will you buy it?" thread ever since the open beta came out, so i believe that this should be where everyone decides this. if it bothers you or something i could change the title i guess....

Works for me til WAR comes out, so I'll buy it. It's totally missing good PvP however, and I don't like FFA pvP servers, so if WAR is any good at all I'm gonna get that too.

I am in the Beta since last month and dumped another Beta I was doing for Vanguard Beta.

I already stated before in a few posts that Vanguard should NOT be in Open Beta now and still NEEDS a few months of work before release.

With that said.

I am going to get my Vanguard Pre-Order this weekend as I need an MMO Fix until WAR.

could be that some people were flaming back and trying to prove him farce or just stating that it was an oppion, but heh. what can you do?

P.s. i was also wondering, ive heard VSoH animations were bad but how bad are they?

If this game release as it is/was as of 48 hours ago from beta 4 its DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED.

There are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many issues that need fixing that are just buggy/performance based that no "refined gamer" will ever want to put up with, let alone a core gamer that wants to play without interuption for hours at a time.

    Reminding everyone again.. that Vanguard is still a beta, not an official release. If you get into open beta much of the content will be missing, their not going to give you everything in a beta guys. Also, the servers will lag ALLOT and crash from time to time. This is because open beta is a STRESS TEST. There are things being worked out all the time.

    Many of the individuals who make the negative posts are doing so without properly educating themselves in what should be expected from this beta (or the last ones). Things look pretty good to me, and if you take the time to read informed posts, you will find that most of us are really happy with whats happening over at sigil.

    Much like liberals, the haters have nothing better to do with there time but talk trash about things they know nothing, or very little about.

    ... if you truly find that you do not like the gameplay, don't bitch about it to us! go try somthing else.

I voted maybe. I haven't played the game enough yet to know whether it's the one for me, but I'll keep at it and form my opinion in due time. The other reason would be that my video card needs upgraded to run this thing on the nicer looking graphical settings, and at this very moment I don't have the money to be able to do so. But I'll do as I always do, and that's wait and see.

I was really looking forward to Vanguard...then I got into beta. I had been following it back when Microsoft was still attached. It had lots and lots of promise. I got in early beta and things were going well and slowly improving. Going into Beta 3, things started to plateau and the game had little to no noticeable changes. Now we're up to 5 and it STILL feels like not much has changed. More classes and races, but the core gameplay is still...stilted. Boring, really. I'm hoping this last month or two of testing can turn things around, but somehow I doubt it.

Why buy? In a couple of months they will be offering a free ten day trial. They will probably have most of the problems fixed by then also..

I just finished trying the beta for the first time. I thought the game was good for an unfinished product. They have a lot of work ahead of them but have a fairly good foundation to build from. I vote maybe but am leaning heavily towards yes. Will wait for the trial when it's released to pass final judgment but so far so good.

Too few choices

No: I won't be buying

Not because it's a bad game. It's a decent title and will do well.

But because I'm sick of the EQ/EQ2/WoW format. It's been done and done and done and done.

Beta has been a blast but I won't be playing it at release. I refuse to reward people for following the tired Class/Level system with my money.
