Serousley WTH is wrong all you pple complaining ? Hardly any of you have been in the game for more than 24 hours. Those that are still here since the closed beta that are gripeing ther has to be a reason your stil here other than OO i just want to see if it gets better. Your either to cheap to go play wow or your actually want to play the game. And all of you people that complain OMG OMG LOOKS da graphics suxors!!! WTH are u playing on a 333?
If your playing on a system with less than 2 gigs of ram and a video card thats less than a nvidia 7k+ or the ati equiv YOU HAVE NO REASON TO BLAME THE GAME FOR YOUR FAULTS!!! Any one here that claims to be an online gamer has no reason not to have a decent card and a couple gigs of ram. Both together would cost about 500$ and it dosnt have to all be paid at once children. My son gets enough allowence to save up and buy these things, and i only give him 5$ a week !
As for the complaints of the OMG its all laggy so much crashing HELLOW open beta is usually used to STRESS the server stability. Over the corse of this thing we call open BETAA there will be many crashes glitches etc. Serousley most of u complain like youve never been in a bad open beta before. Well ive betad most games to date closed open or other wise and this is at the top of the list for one of the best open betas. Anyone here that played the AC2, L2 , RoE, EQ2 , heck even WoW beta if you dont agree then theres something terribly crossed in your minds our your just i dont know addicted to eye candy?
Next we go to gameplay. I read in one of the other posts OMG OMG thers not HOOK to the game. No reason to play weve been playing since beta 2. Well if youve been playing since beta 2 and your still here you either just like to play it or your just here to b**ch. Just because the game dosnt grab you by the wrist and say come along lil kid ill show you what to do next! dosnt mean that there isnt great gameplay AFTER the first 10 levels how many of you have made it much past lvl 10 OTHER than the 1s that wer in closed beta? i would bet hardly any unless you havent slept , and if you havent slept then that proves theres SOMETHING keeping you here.
As for myself I enjoy the old eq1 style of open ended gameplay that im not led around on a leesh and i have an entire world to do what I WANT not what they want me to do. As for the performance issues the only trouble i have are on the server side and that will most likely be cleard up ina week or so, and i play on a LAPTOP specs as follows

I play on high settings i get about 30 fps in the open and about 15 in crowded areas lil bit of lag now and again but its mostly server side. So i dont see the problem with anything unless like i said your system is ancient , you dont know how to update drivers or something. Anyway thats about it for now. Feel free to flame, bash what ever to your hearts content about my post just had to say something for all you pples that want anothe wow clone.

What is wrong with YOU guys? All of a sudden, suddenly talking a LOT, and a LOT, and a LOT. Where you here 1 month ago? 2 months ago? 3 months ago? Just NOW? Before release? All newcomers? Most of the peoples who complains, they are peoples I KNOW. You? It is the first time I read a post from you and I think I qualify as "someone who as been around" and as "a member of this online community". Are you qualifying as a member of this community? Usually Vanguard is about 5% of the thread. NOW it is almost 50%! Well duh, something is going on! And something DIRTY, smelling bad...very bad.
Just before release. Some of you might be with Sigil or SoE, but most of you are personnally trying to advance YOUR agenda, which is getting non-raiders playing a game where raiding is enforced. Otherwise you wouldn't be caring. And strangely enought, you ALL keep talking about TECHNICAL issues, and it is obviously well orchastrated and well prepared, Sigil work with you and prepare the arguments to counter and everything. See the Mort thingy in doubts. How strange that suddenly, a 3rd party program make a sucky game on technical levels been good? I mean, non-Sigil staff? Err, that is a LOT of coincidences...
Vanguard lack a LOT gameplay-wise for non-raiders. Go ahead, promote your agenda all you want. I am immune to it, I didn't play a character for 60 levels before realizing this suckiness. So you want to be shining in a game where peoples lack because they don't raid? Your problem, not mine, but I will make sure that non-raiders know better than to believe in Sigil, blindly. No thanks, never again.

You sound like you escaped from an institution. People are talking now because the NDA has been lifted and alot of people are just excited to be able to be open about their excitement.
But again.... currently, there are no raid encounters in Vanguard. The official max raid party is 24. The time of 40 Man 6+ hour raids is over man.

Will you be able to collect ALL of the best gear in the game without going on conventional raids and/or without trading/buying gear obtained from conventional raids? No.
If your desire is to be able to obtain any and all gear without ever having to raid or buy equipment obtained via raiding, then Vanguard may not be for you.
Raiding is enforced, instead of been TOTALLY enforced, it is partially. Just like DAoC is enforcing PvP. This will create a bottleneck experience where everyone will be missing raiding gear, and Brad will listen to peoples who raid to actually determine that this is what the game needs more in the future, so it will become 40% and eventually 100%. The refusal to put raid-free servers from peoples who create PvE servers speaks volume in itself, as the peoples around here would say.

I've been in beta since Beta 3 and the reason you haven't seen all the good points for the last two months comes down to two reasons.
1. Were too busy having fun with life and this game to waste time here.
2. We actually respect contracts and agreements that we agree to uphold like the NDA.

I don't see what it has to do with me. Trying to make me cry and go away are you? If you ever bother to read my "5k messages", you will realize that I defend the casuals and the peoples with low post count.
However, when I see a fraud, and a sudden influx of peoples, that just NOW, start praising a game, and that they are ALL newcomers...
If I hurt your feelings, I apologize. I am calling the scam I am witnessing, with Vanguard, all of a sudden, been from 5% to 50% of the active posts, mostly by new users. Again, the intention is not to hurt a casual, nor a casual poster, but eh...what do you want me to believe? Suddenly, for no reasons, all the casuals of the world come HERE, and they start workshipping 1 of the most elitist game that will ever be created? A scam is a scam, and if my socials skills lack and I hurt you, sorry, even if you are obviously trying to hurt me for some reason.
Just in case you don't know, these raiders have been consistantly trying to hurt my feelings with "spelling" stuff, and it "suddenly" appear, out of thin air. I didn't see anyone make ANY remark about my spelling in the last 6 months, now, here it is, in a thread with "casuals influx"? Yeah right, that is directly from EQluclin, a poor attempt at getting to me. However, they evolve, they try to be that as in a general way, without pinpointing to me directly...haha.

and Brad said it best "This may not be the game for you" if raiding bothers you. I'm glad he has a strong stance on how he wants the game to be, regardless of other players desiring something different trying to advise him that it needs to change. I know, the "then it'll be the doom of the game and it will go under because of this" line will be coming.
After all, SWG sucks...we all seem to agree on that...that game has went through revelation after revelation...but is it free yet? Has it been oh-so close to being closed down, like say..Shadowbane was walking the death rows until they decided to just make it free? Not yet, which is still an amazement to even me, in fact there are already rumblings of yet another expansion..huh?!! Point is, if a game like THAT (SWG) can survive this long..I'm not buying the "it'll fail because its got THIS in it..or it wont allow me to do THIS like in THIS game therefore it will not last" lines. Goes back the age old phrase.."I'll believe it when I see it" Not when people that live on a forum simply utter the words.

The point is, I actually care for the community here, especially the non-raiders. And since understanding Brad might be hard, I underline what I think is indeed an important point.
You are free to dislike me, but I am a part of this online community, and I actually care that nobody falls for the "raiding isn't enforced" without hearing a distinct opinion that indeed raiding will be almost as bad as in EQ, in a 24 men format. When I see someone trying to shut the complainers down...so Brad's lies might caught a non-raiders...well, it bother me.

Maybe you should spend less time posting and start reading.The NDA as been lifted 2 days ago, that is the reason why everyone is posting about this game. We have been under the NDA for like 6 months and now we can talk about the game. The open Beta started today, so many more player as join us and they are all talknig about the game too. If the reason is not good enough for I do not knoe what to tell you Lord 5K.

Well, these peoples might not see the design flaws and think the game might be better than it is, on a design level, past all this problems...hehe.
I never blast Vanguard for technical issues, and never will! However, I take pride in remembering that raid-wise, it lack a LOT for non-raiders, as it infrige on non-raiders gameplays.

Personnally, I think that peoples would have been interested about at least 1 other MMO, not WAIT just for this one, if they pick a site like MMORPG.com, which lead me to believe, that it is a SCAM, orchestred by uberguilds. YOU, I am sure you are honest. I somehow wrong a casual poster, which I try to defend, and I dunno what more I can do.
Reality is prolly more complex than whatever either of us perceive. I apologize again if I hurt your feelings, it wasn't intentional, my hatred was focused on others that deserve it, and if you don't believe me, at least think it might be possible that, FoH is trolling forums board, with AL, with many other uberguilds...are they alone? Prolly not. Are they adamantly defending a game that make non-raiders subpar; unless they work for a competitor, most certainly!
Heck, maybe BioWare devs are here supporting Vanguard in order to burn as many players as possible from such a poor design. Wouldn't surprise me, that would just show their greater understanding. Hehe. As the more peoples are burned from weak designs, the greater their apparition would be! Now I am starting to feel overwhelmed, maybe I am doing wrong to BioWare without knowing? I should quiet up right now and let's as many peoples be burned and pissed with this game...but I ain't a BioWare employee either and I don't think they need that, players to experience misery, they are above that!
