Who else has gotten the email?? I got mine at 4pm MST. Downloading the game now. Gonna take a long time though.

    I've been in for over a month.  Nothing that I am excited about though.  CoH is off of my "Games That I Want To Play This Summer" list.  Oh well, the good side to CoH sucking is that I save $50.00!

    It seems that you are in the minority. Which is good, but I am glad for you that you dont have to "waste" your money.

    When did you did you sign up for the beta test? Was it just this recent "last chance" one, or was it from awhile ago?

    Ahh but I could say the same about people who do like it.  Remember that you mostly only hear from people still in the game that love it and I talk to people who hate it.  I say it strikes about even.  Dissappointed I am of CoH.  I just could not stand those horrible repetative missions!

    LOL CoH is the only original game to come out in years, its by far better than anything to come out this year.  Ive been playing it for a month also.  Yes the missions get kinda old, but so what?  Dont get the missions then and just go kill stuff.  I havent gotten a misson in weeks, but when I group i complete them anyway due to other ppl having them.  Think of it as an added bonus.  This game is so damn sweet, you can fly.  End of story.  If you want to go play one of the L1/L2/FFXI/RO/SOR/KO/RYI games that are all exactly alike then shame on you.

    None for me either... Did they say how many they are going to give out or when they will stop? Just want to make sure that they didn't just send them all out already.

    This is quite disheartening. I pre-ordered the first day I could.  Obviously, I will keep checking and wait, but grrrr....

    I hate to say it, but I'm going to have to agree with Dekron here.  I am in the Beta and have been for a few weeks now (Pre-Order).  I was really looking forward to this game (hence the Pre-Order) but once I started playing it gets boring very quickly.  My brother was in the Beta and he played for about a month and quit. 

     

    The concept of the game is wonderfull but it just doesn't pull it off.  If there was PvP it would improve CoH 1000%.  I let my sons play on my Beta account and they really love it so I'll probably get them accounts (depending on final monthly fee). 

    There are a few things they need to fix before I leave DAoC for CoH.

    I got my invite yesterday but Cannot get in!!!! image  I figured i would only be able to take the repetitiveness of the missions for maybe 3 months. But now with not being able to even get into Beta I wonder if I will last a month. image

                     Dont know that you cant get in.......server been real unstable for past few days. Think when you tried to get in server was probably down. Thing is even if you do get in, peeps are lossing connections left and right. You have a connection time of maybe 10 minutes without having to restart because of loss of connection. Real frustrating, seems to be when too many peeps get online starts lossing connection. Looks like a lot of work ahead of them. Yesterday think server was up and down again 4 or 5 times I counted. Evertime I logged in no difference, but so beta goes. Keep trying cant knock the game til you try it.

    Not sure why but when i go to join the beta boards it will not accept any name I give!!!! I must have tried over a dozen diferent names. image The issues you speak of, seem to say this game is not ready for release to me!!!

    I just got in yesterday too (Friday) and so far, this game rocks.  I think PvP people are really going to dislike it.  But hey, no skin off my back since I am a PvE guy.  This game is nothing but a blast to me.  Once they add the story arc missions (not in the game yet as to not spoil the plot before release), that will improve the game immensely (Not that it needs improving!).  20 different epic story arcs going on at once is going to rock.

    My first day of SWG was confusing and a little boring.  I guess I kinda knew right then it was going to be bad.  Total opposite with CoH.  The Devs for the game listen to the fans and make the adjustments that make sense to the game and the fans wishes. 

    And for those that want PvP, they are going to add a PvP arena right after release...so maybe that will tide you over before City of Villians (hopefully) comes out.  image

    I'm in but can't play for some unknown lag. Everyone else is zipping by me but I'm poking around like a turtle. I've updated drivers, now updating DirectX .. is anyone else having this type of problem?

    Yeah I did. Unless there is a walk/run button ... my prestige run thing helps a bit but still runs slower than the rest. My system should run it fine ... just driving me nuts trying to play/fix it.

    It's kind of like the matrix but I'm the only one moving in super slow bullet time. DirectX 9 didn't seem to do anything, unless I have to configure it or something.
