Question for people PLAYING WoW...

KeyouseKeyouse Member Posts: 49
Ok, first thing is first. If you hate WoW please leave. I don't want any peron comming in here and yelling about how stupid you think the game is. Thanks.

Now, for the question. The PvP in my opinion is kind of pointless. What exactly PvP related is comming out in BC and in the last and upcomming patches? Also what is some other things that might make me want to come back to WoW?

Thanks.

Simply put, if you enjoy PvP then stay away. If you like neverending PvE content, then the exp is right up your alley.

Funny. I enjoy PvP and I enjoy WoW.

As far as BC i'm not sure exactly, we will see when it's out.

Arena's and a ladder I guess would be one, don't know if that's enough.

There's suposed to be more benefits of world pvp on the new contenent, which is sorely needed IMO. But even with all that, pvp in WoW still going to be pretty much the same, mindless, uesless, fun to compete for pixalated glory.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    Thanks.
The content introduced to Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands was a test to see (I think, anyway) how world PvP goals could be introduced into mostly PvE environments.  I think (if you're on a PvE server, like me) that you'll find the current world PvP a bit boring.  I know that my server's world PvP is dominated by a few Alliance players.  What TBC promises include more zone PvP objectives (which are hard to accomplish in a mostly PvE environment on a PvE server), a new battleground or two, and an arena system.

    We'll see.

Not sure how long you have been away but the latest patch on the live servers has also revamped the honor system.  You no longer rank to get gear.  You can spend the honor you get in PvP to buy any item now.  Better the item, more honor needed of course but it is a much better system than the forced 24/7 grind needed to get to rank 14 on some servers.

I've leveled 2 classes to 70 in the beta. There is a tremendous amount of new dungeons, faction grinds, quests, and a huge amount of armor sets to farm for. What additions and improvements did PvP get? A poor attempt at a battleground that is basically a combination of WSG and AB mechanics. Arenas you say? Ok these are new but pretty disappointing in my opinion. The fights are over so fast you can't even enjoy them. Its not spontaneous, and it doesn't have a pvp community feel because you're thrown in with a huge cluster of people you'll rarely see twice. Every outpost in the open world has huge amounts of guards and even flying guards to keep everyone safe. There are so many restrictions in this system it's insane. I could go on for hours about the PvP in WoW. It's a raiding game, PvP is an afterthought and highly diluted down. Actually I wouldn't even use the word PvP to describe the system in WoW, that would be an insult to the concept so many people live to play.

I like playing WoW with my friends.

I enjoy playing my NE Priest, and my occassional horde character too.

I enjoy the PVP, and PVE as well.  I try to play casually, cuz if you play WoW too much

seems to just burn you out.

but. its a decent game, not my fave mmo of all time. but Godd Enuff.
