Plan & Simple Nvidia Users shafted & Im sick about it!!!

It looks clear to me after reading serval different postings by vanguard head dude that he is really only supporting ATI cards. It seems also most problems are coming from Nvida cards...Go figure?!

Well here is my problem and its really pissing me off and yes I know its OPEN BETA and the worse OPEN BETA I have ever seen period. Anyways,

I have the following

AMD Dual 4200+ CPU

2 Gigs Ram

6150LE Nivia video(WORKS ON ALL 3D games and good!)

200Gig Harddrive

DvD-RW

Asus MD-Realtek High Defintion Audio

I have latest drivers for everything and Windows XP Media Ed 2005 fully updated.

Im also been working as a technicaion for 10 years.

I got Vanguard Beta and Latest build since Yesterday and Todays new build and same problem.

Okay here is whats happeing,

When you load up the game its fine. I seen all the graphics and hear all the sound and its great. Yet here is when the problem happens is when i goto settings to change anything and I scroll down the graphics all it a black dotting imagine all over them.

Okay so I dont goto options anymore after 100times trying everything to fix and just goto game.

Start playing game and when foghting mobs the Health Bar area gets the black dotting images and cant see them anymore and also my 1-10 Action bar with abilities starts to lose the graphic symbols. Also when going to Quest guys to get Quests the logs get the black dotting images all over them and cant then read quests. Its like its not refreshing or something?

Thing that surprises me is the chat window works fine and the dotty images dont effect it?

Anyways....HELP!

PS...Yes I even used latest Nvidia Beta Drivers.

Try to use /flush through the chat window.

I'm using 2 nvidia cards and have had no problems with them. The Nvidia 7800GT and the Nvidia 6800GO (laptop).

Have you ever experienced that dotting effect in any other game? Having pixelated encounters through gameplay normally leads to your graphics card failing. I'm not saying that is what is happening, I'm just saying that I've had cards that had major pixelation and there was no way around it. My pixels normally had a constant red to them.

Ehh, i would not even try to complain about the way VSoH works with Nvidia when you have an absolutely craptacular gpu.  Plain and simple crap.

It has worked flawlessly on my 7800gs and 7800gtx systems.

Hi and thank you for the reply.

1st I have never had any problems with any games until Vanguard. I have also never tried /flush command. Yet I dont see how the /flush command can be applied to options to set them? As the dotting happens when I scroll in options.

Ty and any other info you can give me would be great. :)

Im not giving any praise as to how Vanguard runs, because performance wise it doesn't run all that well...but...

    An Nvidia 6150?  Yea....

Yes, Im not dumb and understand that the 6150LE isnt the best Graphic solution to use. Yet it has passed all specs that Vanguard requires and also has Shader 3.0

Also I have played all 3D games like Battlefield 2142 just fine without any problems at all. I can play WoW and EQ2 and Sim City 4. Civ4 & Pirates. Just showing you a wide range of games for examples. I can play NHL 2007 and so on. So its got to be some programming issues on their end.

If you have any solutions please help me ty. Not buying a new video is a solution. :)

The /flush command is really helping ty. Yet each time I enter combat I have to type /flush and then I can see everything. So it would seem the screen isnt refreshing?

Not buying a new video solution? Not playing next gen games, it's just that simple. I and many others are getting so sick of these complaints. It's common sense. PCs are a sum of their respective parts! Decent RAM, decent processor and inadequate GPU = Inadequate performance. That card is on the border of minimum spec.

You have an integrated video card (forced to cap at 128 MB of shared memory, I believe) and integrated audio....a huge strain on your processor/motherboard and a pretty cheap (old) setup.  Get yourself stand-alone video and audio cards.  It won't matter what drivers you have because your system is just too weak and running off integrated parts.  If you can't afford both, go for the video card.  A decent card and processor can compensate for onboard audio.

Grabbing an inexpencive 7600GT would be a wonderful upgrade to that; you also wouldn't have to /flush so much.

Vanguard works great on my system and I have almost exactly the same specs!

    AMD 4400

    2 gig XMS ram

    300g sata

    SB Live 5.1 onboard audio

    z 5500 logitech speakers

so far my sound seems fine.  i even splurged on a new X-Fi and I couldn't really tell the difference.  upgrading your vid card, which is extremely weak for todays games, would help you out a ton. listen to everyone and buy a 7 series.

    4600+ amd dual core

    160gb HD

    2GB Ram

    7600GS 256mb Nvidia

    On-board sound

    i have no hardware issues

check the ini file thread as the mods i found for it seemed to help with fps, perhaps they may fix the pixels. However a friend has a 6500 and has a severe pixelated line that prevents bf2 play. Good Luck with your card i dont think any 6000 series will last the 2007 year.

LMAO well this just shows me that they havn't been doing much in the year beta.  I was apart of Phase 1 and they had this problem.  It looks to be that they still have it.

On the border or in the ballpark?  If the card meets minimum requirements, but doesn't work, maybe they should raise the minimum requirements as to avoid issues like this?

I have dual nvidia cards and i have some glitches as well. They'll get it ironed out eventually.

Plain and simple, you have a crappy GPU. Get a cheap 7600. They work just fine. Nobody really cares about specs, or what the box says. Everyone is telling you from experience the game is gonna look like crap without getting a better GPU, so just get one. 2142 will look better too.

A more accurate topic would be "Plain and simple, people with CRAPPY video cards are shafted". That's true whether you have Radeon or Nvidia.
