im a glutton for graphics ... and i dont like feeling "alone" in a game ....

so with regards to vanguard number 1 ... the graphics arent that great ,,,

and number 2 ... you always seem to feel alone with vanguard ... the landscape is too .. grey .. and barren.. depressing really

I'm banking on HJ right now.  Vanguard isn't impressing me at all and I've been following it hoping it would be the next new MMO to play.  If HJ pulls off the wide range of customization then I'm sold.  But man, Simultronics is really stingy with their info and updates.

Been playing with VG Beta for a few days. Assuming they get an exterminator to clear out the bugs before the late January launch, VG will be EQ 2.5. So far it seems to play like EQ1 with the good WoW features ( like quest sharing, some quest nudging to explorable areas). Diplomacy works out decent, havent tried crafting yet.

I will buy VG, if only to keep me busy til HJ comes out ( or AoC, WAR).

If you want a solo friendly game, DO NOT play Vanguard. There is almost NO soloable content beyond 6th level -- and what little solo content exists is pathetically repetitive. In fact, "pathetic" is how I'd describe Vanguard in general.

Hero's Journey, meanwhile, has many developer quotes saying that it was built around soloability.

I hope that makes the logical choice perfectly clear.
