If no one ever judged another person for punishment, there'd be rapists and murderers everywhere.

We have opportunity after opportunity as a species, to rise above the notion that violence is the solution to anything.

Killing Sadam simply re-confirmed our solidarity with killing as a policy or as an outcome of justice.

He could have been imprisoned for the rest of his life. Human beings, particularly those who preach peace, could have demonstrated thier commitment to the principles of peace by choosing not to take life.

Another opportunity lost to seperate ourselves from the people we claim are the enemies of freedom and peace. While we may not be just like them, we revel in our similarities every chance we get.
