Spawn Campers Online...

Warhawke68Warhawke68 Member Posts: 15
Veteran EVE players just use this website to recruit newbies to slaughter mercilessly while they spawn camp every system with decent resources.  If they do invite you to a corp its just to get you to slave away mining for them so they can kill other newbies.  If you are new dont bother...  TERRIBLE SuperLeetDudeSlayer community.  I will say it has nice graphics though they are starting to show their years. Dont be fooled this game sucks unless you been playing it for years and/or know people in a very large guild that can twink you out from the very beginning.

Unsubstaniated opinions, cynicism, and trolling all in one package.

Why should I take your opinion seriously. The EVE community on the whole is completely different that what you state.

Give me a break dude...  This is EXACTLY what EVE is...  I played for years and am disgusted with the way it has turned out.

    You likely

    A. tried to enter lowsec or 0.0 wich can get you killed the larger the risk the larger the rewards

    B. joined a corp that was in the middle of a mandatory mining op (some corps do this most dont make the ops mandatory)

In general EVE's community is very helpfull and nice. and isnt nearly unfriendly to new players as hes making it seem. ive got 2 or 3 people in the corp im in who are 2-3 months only now and there having a blast and they fly with all the rest of us with no problem.

also ingeneral EVE's playerbase is better about helping new players its not like alot of other games where you ask a question and your reply is a "stfu noob"

ok if youve played for years please do tell us your character name so we can do a show info and findout if your an acually player with possible credibility or a nameless troll

while your at it tell me why you dont shoot a frig with a torpedo, and what transversal velocity is

    ROTFLMAO

This is a really funny post. I have been in the game for 5 months now. Had a few characters till I got the hang of it. Started again in Revalations. I have been in Hi Sec, Low Sec, 0.0 space. Been blown up by Pirates, run away from Pirates. Killed Rats been killed by Rats. Been in 2 Corps now in one that I helped start and have never seen this.

Most corps that mine tell you that up front.

BTW if they spawn camped every system we would need a hell of a lot more players.

Frigs frequently cant even be hit by torps cause they are so much faster especially with MWDs.  If they did happen to get hit the blast speed is slow and they take less damage.  Tranversal speed is the tangental velocity relative to your ship. Big guns cant track fast targets.  Honestly though I played long before they even added the weapon tracking makeover and quite a bit after.

alright mabe you do have credibilty perhaps but you still need to give a character name your claims dont mean anything if we cant verify youve been playing aslong as you have. and yes im being hard on you because i see so many people talk this stuff and dont know a damn thing about the game

I made an experiment one day. Took my newb frigate and started flaying trough the low sec

Just to see how fast they will gank me.

To my soprise. I just had a chat with some people. That told me that they hunt pirates. Which they later did.

They were not even remotely interested in destroying my ship

In L2 for instance. People would come to newbie starting area , and just kill everyone for whatever pleasure they get from it.

In eve you will at least be killed with reason

Bahemoth - Come on EVE is not newbie friendly in any sense and the community preys on newbies FAR more than it helps them.  You can like EVE all you want - but your lying through your teeth if you are trying to say that EVE is a newbie friendly universe that just sits around waiting to help each other.  Newbie corps are ripped off by veterans that join them and steal from thier corp hangers.  Veterans frigate bomb newbies in safe space just for sh|ts and giggles.  Veterans regularly gate camp the entrances to low sec space - Why?  to blast newbies that dont have instas yet and/or dont know better.  A cry of help im mining and getting attacked by rats is 1000x more likely to bring a dozen people wanting to finish you off than 1 person to try to save you.   I could go on... and if you play as much as you act like you know these things are all regular occurences not isolated instances...

This does happen but what about all the good things?

    When I was a noob:

    • I got help with a mission from 5 vets who destroyed the rats.
    • I get Regular Eve Mails from Vets I met while learning offering advise and answering question
    • After being blown up Pirates often chat to you and tell you what you did wrong
    • I had a pirate blow up another pirate for attacking me because I was mining and could not protect myself.
    • People are friendly
    • If you ask a question (and have done the tutorial) 90% of people are willing to help you
    • I never even knew Newbie corps had hangers unless they are player corps.
    • Lots of Newbies gate camp including people on Tial accounts but the map shows you those gates so don't use them

If you are going to post please do it constructively. Postive and Negative.

Well, he doesn't want to post anything positive, even though he's played "for years".

For the Tinfoil Hat II crowd: He might be a vet wanting to discourage new people from joining and getting all the good stuff.

For the rest: The answers to the two questions are easily located in EVE-O forums within a couple of minutes of searching. Even less if he happens to notice the handy Eve-Search site. Now, Warhawke, list to me the original members of the [23] society, and quote the very first ever Dark Shikari post. That'd be credibility.

Well I can't speak for others but being a veteran player myself (3 years of playtime now) I can say that my corp does accept new players and we train them up, give advice and such... we are a freelancer corp and nobody is forced to do anything they don't want to do.

They want to do some mining, no problem we buy minerals at marketprices, they want to go killing people no problem... just don't ransom or engage in piracy ... but kill pirates are allowed or being a hired gun also allowed.

Lost a ship ? no problem.. we got great industrial skills (several of us anyway) so we can help getting newbies into a new ship anytime.

    That post is sexy monde

im not lieing through my teeth i never said we just sit around

    and

yes newbies get killed going into lowsec

yes they get occasionaly killed by someone dropping cans telling them they can pick them up

yes newbie corps do get scammed and stolen from

    but

People Help newbs all the time

Antipirates like myself go around breaking up prat/outlaw gatecamps

The gatecampers dont just target new players most of the time

even pirates are willing to give advice to new players

not just newb corps get stolen from and scammed

some people go pickup the cans the newb killers drop just to kill them and get them outa system

suicide frigs hurt your sec standing if they do it to much they become outlaw

    everyone has instas now

there is a warning popup telling them they can get killed in lowsec befor they enter it

  • Warhawke68Warhawke68 Member Posts: 15

Welp im off to to play other games but you should try your own advice if you are going to spout that nonsense.  Post both sides of the equation.  The examples you cited are so far and few between that I can only assume you work for CCP are just here to spout that crap.

    When I was a noob:

    • I got help with a mission from 5 vets who destroyed the rats.

Sorry I dont believe you.  Vets dont hang around in 1.0 newbie space much less help them.

    • I get Regular Eve Mails from Vets I met while learning offering advise and answering question

Well isnt that all warm and fuzzy...

    • After being blown up Pirates often chat to you and tell you what you did wrong

    Something like:

    BOOM

Pirate: Haha stupid noob welcome to EVE

Noob: Why did you kill me? It took me a week to build that ship...

Pirate: Cause I can and your stupid...

Noob: But your in a battleship and Im in a frigate...

Pirate: Yeah cause your a stupid noob...

Noob: Hey stop shooting me im only in my pod...

Pirate: Stupid noob shoulda jumped when you had the chance - while we were laughing at you....

    Noob: Someone help me...

    Pirate: lol

    • I had a pirate blow up another pirate for attacking me because I was mining and could not protect myself.

Im guessing he had a bounty on his head and you jumped away before he could lock you too

    • People are friendly

I hear some cannibals are friendly too

    • If you ask a question (and have done the tutorial) 90% of people are willing to help you

Noob: Im out here trying to mine but I can't target the asteroid right can someone help me?

Noobhelper: Sure - what belt are you in?

    Noob: 01

Noobhelper: Ok im on the way...

    see conversation above for conclusion...

    • I never even knew Newbie corps had hangers unless they are player corps.

New player players that start corps not the NPC corps newbies start in.

    • Lots of Newbies gate camp including people on Tial accounts but the map shows you those gates so don't use them

Yeah it doesnt take them long for them to figure out thats what you do in EVE...

If you are going to post please do it constructively. Postive and Negative.

Yeah you posted your negative thoughts along with your BS...

Please refrain from calling me a liar!

You really have either NEVER played or played a LONG time ago. There are plenty of Vets in Hi Sec. Also there is this Corp Channel when you start. Quite a few Vets stay in that "Newbie Corp". And Chat in there.

I did agree with some of your negative points before listing the positives. I really do not need to justify myself to you.

You are either very young or very immature. Please grow up. Your game experience is probably very different to mine.

And everything I said is 100% true and accurate. I don't need to lie, I do not get paid by CCP and the more people in game the less space there is for me to move around.

edit: Sorry spelling mistake again.....some letters on my keyboard are slower than others :)

Once you've run whatever entertainment you get from a game into the ground, it's easy to sit back and point out all its flaws. There's not much I can really add to that, you're just heavily exaggerating everything you dislike about the game because you finally wore it out and need to express reasons for quitting. I did the same with world of warcraft. With FFXI. But fact is, the majority of the time I spent playing those games, I enjoyed. The same would apply to you, having apparently played for years - you must have enjoyed playing for most of that time, or why would you bother?

Put simply, I think you're just looking back with shit tinted glasses. Like a record you bought, loved, and played so much it drove you bloody mad, these games were never meant to last forever.

This is the nature of the game, there has been no slow decline, this is the way EVE has been since Beta. There have been, are and always will be 'Pirates' who's sole purpose in EVE is to kill anyone they possibly can. Looking at the type of EVE players who post in this forum, none appear to be pirates. Invalidating your conspiracy theory.

But shouldnt you already know this with your extensive EVE knowledge?

I think your a liar, you played EVE for a few days, flew into 0.0 and lost your ship and now you've come to whine.

I won't lie, a couple of the theings the OP says have a little bit of truth to them, although most of it, from my personal experience, is utter BS!

He talks about how newbies are treated, and some of this is true, but not to the extent that the OP claims.  And I challenge the OP to name one open PvP game where new players never get ganked.

I will say this, and this comes from someone who has played a few open PvP games, I have never had less ganking problem in ANY game than in EVE, and the community, in terms of helpfullness and support is better here than in any MMO I have played.

Sorry the OP no longer likes the game, perhaps he should realize it is time to move on and leave it to those who do enjoy it.

This post is 100% opinion. Name some facts and we can debate.

I am not bloodthirsty, in fact, I would say I am about 80% carebear.  I do like a sense of danger in my games, and I love a game where my accomplishments mean something.   Of all the games I have played, open PvP, controlled PvP and PvE, EVE satisfies me more than the others.

I like EVE, a LOT!  If that makes me a drooling fanboi with no sense and no perspective, then, all I can say is I hope the OP can find a game he likes as much.

Oh, and I don't go to other forums bashing games that others enjoy.  That's just immature and childish.
