Censorship and SOE

Thought I would put this together for anyone who is interested:



The stats below are as of today, and can be seen at the official SWG forums.

Posts made by Nadias - 1863 (registered a bit over 2 years ago)



I would say that about 95% or more of these posts are locking threads.  



Thats well over 4000 posts locked.    NOT counting the ones locked by thunderhart or garva.



In addition, hundreds (possibly thousands) of other threads have been deleted outright.



And yes the SWG forums to belong to SOE and they have every right to moderate them as they feel, its just interesting to see the level of censorship that they impose on their paying customers

    As much as I dislike what SOE has done to the game, a lot of times they need to lock threads to keep things from turning into a flame war.

    And truth of the matter is, most of the people who troll on the forums haven't paid for a membership since November of last year.

    If they wanted the posters on their forums to be more positive, they could make the game better maybe?  Sorry, that's just crazy talk.  Nevermind.  Deleting and banning for not being positive ('constructive') is a much better idea.  Someday SOE is going to find a way to make money without needing those pesky customers.  Stupid jerks, wanting quality products...

    Thing is i think SOE live in the dark ages ,and hav'nt twigged onto the fact that they still get lambasted on just about every other forum on the web .......and not just for swg :)

      Best to read that. Helios has suddenly gone silent, and SOE is deleting threads talking about it or asking where he is. He hasn't made a game related post since mid November, and had a cryptic, indirect goodbye he posted in December.

    That'd be true if you could post without paying them a monthly fee.  (Other than that loophole, but few do that)

    It's easy to keep a forum account without paying.

    The forums are as buggy and as easily exploited as the NGE is, the rot at SOE and SWG spreads throughout all parts.
