what game should i get ?

Hi all, i'm new here, and i love to get into a MMORPG, i've got a beta key for vanguard, so i'll be checking that game out soon, when i get a chance to download that huge **** :-)
But when the beta runs out, i don't think i'm willing to pay a monthly fee to play a game, i just can't do that, I'm a student, and everybody knows students just can't pay that much for a game, just to relax no and then.
Now i'm currently starting on the game shadowbane, that went free, so it's worth chekking out.
But i want something new, with nice graphix and good gameplay, just a game you can play for a while
I know it might seem i'm asking much, but with al those mmorpg's out there, there must be something good and free for me to play
ohw and another thing i want in the game, i don't want a free game, that went free cause nobody plays it
it has to be "active" if you know what i mean
