Glad you are ok but if what you are describing was a NDE (near death experience) then wow thats amazing, I am interested in that subject greatly and I have read many accounts of what people have gone through and its some stuff that makes you think. Our brains are strong and maby capable of creating the experience as a form of "lucid dream". See when you go to sleep every night and right before the human body dies and in your case died and was revived science has discovered a chemical called DMT (dimethyltryptamine) which is secreted by the pineal gland in the center of your brain gets pumped in huge ammounts right at those first moments or REM sleep or right before death. DMT has been used by shamans for centuries and recently books and studies have been done that all seem to point towards this pineal gland DMT as being the cause of NDE's and dreams but since I have never experienced a NDE I cant say for certain what goes on but from what science says its just the brain doing what it can to hold on the the preception of existence.

You guys, I was in a bad car wreck a few days ago. I just got home this morning from the hospital. I got messed up pretty bad. I'm still in a lot of pain and can't work or hardly walk. Really, I can't walk without crutches. It sucks just getting up to go to the bathroom or take a shower. My torso is bruised and the right side of my body is along with my head.
But while I was being taken out of the ambulance at the hospital I died.
They said I was dead for almost a minute and they had to work to bring me back.
I've got to share another thing with you guys too. I had an experience while I was dead. I remember it more than I can remember things that have happened to me right here. It was the most awesome thing I have ever felt. You guys are going to think I'm crazy but I was there, I was at the end.
I don't know what else to say. I can't type much because my fingers on my right hand are all stoved up and my back hurts. But I just wanted to share it.
It's real guys. I promise. I don't know how to describe it to make anyone believe, but it's there and it's real. And I don't mind having to go back someday. It's awesome.

I always hoped that the afterlife is what ever or where ever your heart truely wants it to be. If you want to be in Middle-earth, your there. There's no intention of implying any sentimentality. Anyway, is there any evidence that this prolongs life? To my knowledge, without medical assistance, most people wouldn't come back once they get to that point. So how did such a function evolve?
anyway, i never truly believed in all those visions in NDE experiences (although i do believe in an afterlife). technically, your barin is not dead in NDE experiences because there is still oxygen in it, therefore i conclude NDE experiences are just a trick of the brain.

i believe your experiences are very real to you. however i also understand the mind is a very complex thing.
