This game seems really cool. Why should i play this game and not another. I'm looking for a game to do me over untill I get my new comp to play Vanguard.

    It's rather cheap and lasts a lifetime for one.



    But as you surely know there are lots of negative aspects about the game, allthough much of the opinions stated here are outdated due to the continuous updates. What do you want to know?

    how is the community(large,mature) What exactly can u do in the game. Why play this and not a free one.How much life is left in the game. Will it still be around in a year,

    Mature and small tight knit (but open) community. At least mostly mature.



    You can do lots of stuff, what kind of things are you interested in?



    There are no free ones featuring the ancient era, being historically accurate in a sandbox-style. :)



    The life of the game is just beginning, it will be around for many more years, since the plan of RedBedlam was to start small and grow.

    The in game community is small, less then 100. As for its maturity, Most are mature but you always have the odd balls.



    Of late, as you can see in the other posts, there has been a lot of updates and I am sure there will be some more before the month is up.



    As usual, with all the patches and updates the population spikes, now should RV keep coming with the updates and get the game in good condition the spike should level off and not go down like it usually does.



    A good way to tell is to come onto the IRC channel, if there isn't much going on there is about 5 ppl in it else there is 20ish. midnight for USA and Europe the channel gets quiet,

    I think the community of Roma-Victor is growing as RB continue to improve with it. It's slow but eventually RV will become one of the great realistic game. I think the population will increase in time.

    I am patience cause I can wait since I don't have to pay a monthly fee for RV..:)

    If you want fancy titles, uber weapons, flashey clothing, pricey loot, hundreds of quests, and want to be led around from place to place by some arbitrary storyline, this game is not for you.

    If you want to immerse yourself in 2nd century Briton with all of it's brutality, dirt, and hard work intermixed with complex crafting activities, bear hunts, barbarian raids, politics, and occasional moments of hilarity and triumph.....................AND you are willing to take on the responsibility of steering your OWN path in this open sandbox and contributing to the community, this game is for you.

    Sounds like a nice break from the standard mmorpg settings...I'll have to investigate more.
