    I think Mythic set the standard for the way a MMO should be: great PVE, combat system, crafting, tasks, instances, PVP and RVR.

    I look forward to Warhammer and most likely won't play anything until it comes out.

    I don't mind if not many people play vanguard, people that I'd like to see stay in WoW and not play vanguard are:

    People that think a tank and healer are more important than a main assist in a 5 man.

    People that assist the tank

    People that use shield to heal on the tank

    People that pull aggro

    People who afk after every other pull

    Wiping the group twice cause someone insisted we skip a group of 3 mobs when just killing the mobs wouldv'e taken like an extra minute.

    People that say "oh let me die" when they are already up in your face and putting you in combat.

    The mage with a high pitched voice that talks on vent all raid long.  Actually just to be on the safe side, all mages should just stay in WoW.

    Tauren Warriors

    Destruction Warlocks

    People that use all of there mana on a one trash mob pull and then say "wait for mana" after the fight

    Pullers that don't pull, like charging warriors

    Shamans that don't purge

    Guild leaders that think everyone needs 150 fire resist before Vael is even attempted.

    Raid leaders that think they're good cause they can read strats

    People who think turning in herbs is worthy of DKP

    if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
    Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
    if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end

    WAR = 9941

    AoC = 4651

    Spellborn = 1734

    Stargate Worlds = 825

    Mmmhh still short of D&L though, and we know how D&L ended up............It doesn't look good

      ROFL  pnwz as they would say.

    Honestly, Vanguard has a LOT of post from uberguilds, from devs, from me, from ste and so on, these hardly compare to casuals posters.  If anything, it show that I feel bruised by the raiding gameplay, that uberguilds want that same unfair advantage again, that these devs come here and so on, not anything about true hype.

    You want a real indication?  Go check to your local store and check how many pre-order for Vanguard and how many will be respected a little later.  That would speak volumes.  Haha, ano's posts!  I prolly have a good 1k post in Vanguard, and I wouldn't go as far as saying they are representing much, I ain't buying the game unless they make raid-free servers, and I don't think this is going to happen, so I won't be buying the game...still, 1k post down the shaft, right away!  That is a LOT.    FoH, AL and other uberguilds, once removed, you prolly have WAY under 5k posts.

    The fact peoples know that the official forums would close certainly boost it post count, as peoples with agendas would feel the need to leave a lasting impact to advance their agenda, aka having peoples to admire the uberguilds.  ROFL.

    LOL!  That's a big list.  Guess WoW won't have to worry about loosing too many subscribers then.

    Seriously though.  Even though most everyone would agree with you that they would rather not group with anyone that does that stuff, we've all probably done at least 1 of those things at least once.

    So are you saying it's bad because it was hyped for 5 years?  Or, that it would be a great game if it was only hyped for 1 or 2 years?

    The game is what is.  For those that try it and don't like it - oh well.  We aren't all going to like the same game.  Perhaps one of the other new games coming out will be to their liking.  I'm just wondering how many posters will be moving on to those new games and their forums?  Or, will they keep on coming back month after month - even after the game has gone live?

    Will they move onto another forum to look for a game they like?  Or, will the very same posters that have expressed that they in no way shape or form like Vanguard, or will EVER play it:  will they still come back day after day - month after month - and express their hatred of the game?  Time will tell I guess.

    Pay attention. Dragonace already disproved Steves statement. We are talking about games in development, not games already released. And that is not what they say, they say ROFLCOPTERSPWNT

    Dragonace thank you for posting, makes it so I have to lay the smack down much less.

    Post history 27,  13 of them bashing Vanguard. How long did you play Vanguard, to what level and what system did you have? Might be very revealing as to your anti-Vanguard crusade.

    LOL!  Yeah, I was just going to let Anofalye have his little poke.  If he wants to discount his own 1k posts or whatever it was - oh well; more power to him!  I guess if it were me I wouldn't be so quick to point out that I posted 1k posts onto a forum of a game that I have no intention of playing - but to each his own.

    Yep.  There comes a point when the product has to be delivered and get some money coming in.

    It seems Vanguard is off of the most anticipated games list.....

    Yep, for now.  It's at 7.0 (along with 14 other titles).  Not sure what criteria that MMORPG uses to decide which 5 games out of the 15 total get to show on the list along with the 2 that are at 7.2

    But as I posted before - there is a lot more that goes into hype than the score alone.  The number of votes for the hype and the activity on the forum are also other indicators to come up with a balanced hype.

    There is no doubt that the hype has gone down some though.  Not a lot, but enough to bring it down to 7.0 from it's highpoint of 7.2.  It is still higher than it was right after the SOE announcement though.  It dipped down to 6.8 for awhile and was at 6.9 for a long time right after the SOE announcement before it started climbing back up again.

    Yes we were not expecting EQ 1.5 with good graphics and YES we were expecting something new. Isn't that the reason we were waiting for Vanguard? or any other title say Conan or Warhammer??

    What the hell is wrong with people? are Mmorpg players so unimaginative and boring these days that they will feed on same recycled crap for years to come? i say if you talk big and generate a hype which blows out of proportions atleast have a product to back it up or just STFU!!

    You have no clue on what your saying

    It appears the developers were so locked up in their studios making VSoH they were not staying in tune with MMORPGs and the changes that have been taking place over the past two years or so.  VSoH would dominate if it game out 5 years ago.  Let's face it, the MMORPG world is looking for a contender to go toe to toe with WoW, VSoH is not it.  My hopes rest on WAR.  AoC will be the same MMORPG crap that has been put out before. The only WoW contender is SoS

    Yes, i made that.  Systems of Starcraft.  I came with it first (i hope LMAO).  Mark my words.
