I would have to disagree with you about there not being many people playing this game anymore... while it doesn't amount to nearly the same amount of people that played before, if you can find a good server then there are 20-30 + people in almost every city. I will say though, that I wouldn't buy this game... if you want to try it I would recommend downloading the free trial and seeing how it fits you first.

Honestly......Not trying to bash sony or do nothing more than to state the truth from my heart.Pre-cu SWG was just a frigging awesome game.Every idle minute i had at work i was thinking about it and couldnt wait to get home and play it.I havent seen anything out there that even come close to it.My childhood has past many many years ago ,but honestly i felt like a kid every single time i logged into the game.The one thing i will mis the most is that childhood love of a game.

CU while a down-grade wasn't too terribly bad although I liked pre CU most it was bearable to play.
NGE Well I loged on one day and I was level 1 instead of a master CH/rifleman and started cussing and sending in tickets asking what was going on because i was oblivious to the coming changes as many other players were. I went to coronet and there was a good 200+ players there cussing out NGE.
A while back i Loged into SWG on bria went to every town and found about 6 different players, people had told me it was abandoned, i knew it was nothing compared to what it use to be but I was shocked (sorry for run on sentence) Honestly I expected to see more players but there was no one to even talk to and ask questions about if there was anything new in the game.
I would suggest this game to people you hate because after playing NGE SWG they may have a mental break down due to complete frustration that they spent 15$ on a product that doesnt work properly.
What was SOE's responce to NGE? Well they said they did extensive testing and had discussion groups and so on. Well I and my friends haden't heard anything about this and had they really discussed the "New Game Enhancement" or as many veterans call it The Fuc*ing piece of Sh*t that ruined SWG. SOE belived they were doing a good thing but felt it wasnt important to see what the gaming community thought about such changes and paid for it dearly.
Is this a suprise? No SOE's gaming history shows that such events are common. Many argue that SOE ruined SWG, Planetside and even Ever Quest, my old favorite game for 7 long years *RIP*. These games use to be favorites but are slowly droping as SOE adds mindless content and content that lacks.
On a scale of 1-10 I give SWG a negative well.. theres no number large enough to describe it. But honestly this game is the worst MMO ive ever seen, well besides, well nevermind I cant think of any MMOs bad enough to compare with SWG after NGE.
Is there no hope for SWG?

SMED stated he didnt care if the emu creators made the emulators because no one would ever be able to figure it out. Fortunately for us Smed was incorrect in the assumption that the gaming community is ignorant.

LOOOOOL 20-30 ppl in every city - is a joke - we had 600 members on our guild, and almost all logged in durring vurnability of the bases, befor the CU. Last time when i logged in did not see even 1 person in Coronet for more than 15 minutes....
Lets face it, Star Wars Galaxies is a lost cause but as mentioned previously on Shin's post there are emulators with a huge fan base waiting for release of the complete version of pre CU SWG.
