Vanguard just made me laugh

Been playing the beta for about a week now and so far not to bad. I just finished this one quest a little while ago and it made me laugh out loud.
The quest is called "Puny Scorpions". In this quest you have to release this box full of angry scorpions in a Ksaravi village. It was funny as hell to watch these little scorpions running around scaring the Ksaravi away.
I know this may not be a big deal for most of you but for me I hope to see more quest like this. Breaks the bordom of doing kill XXX amount of this mob type of quest.
Looking forward to when the game goes gold.

Yeah, some of the quests and lore are quite imaginative. The lore in the diplomatic quests I've seen looks like multi-path stories, quite well written. Of course these are the noob lines still, but even that much careful crafting is notable. There are some typical stale quests, of course. In many of the combat quests past level 5, there seems to be some unique wrinkle. There seem to be few where a like-leveled player or group can succeed just by starting to bash away, and there are different kinds of problems to be solved.

Lots of quests in Vanguard have made me laugh out loud and the players always have me smiling. The community, the ones who you can tell are going to stay and play, is among the best I have encountered since DAoC. Happy people FTW!
I had a quest very similar to that in WoW. It was pretty funny watching the NPC running all over the place with this mechanical yeti chasing. Glad to hear that there's stuff like that in VG

there's one in gnome city, its a diplomacy quest..you have to interogate this gnome who swears he's trying to protect this female gnome from an assassin mech gnome that has come from the future to kill her to prevent her from giving berth to a general.."he can't be reasoned with..and he absolutely will...not...stop!!" (sound familiar?) lol Please someone tell me they know where that is from. There seems to be a bunch of humor driven quests in this game, which I like because my "dream" mmo one day is for it to be nothing but comedy-fantasy realm stuff...(think Monty Python's Holy Grail).
So adding bits of humor to the game works for me!
