It took me almost exactly a year to level my warrior up to 60 in the original game. That's because I simply play a differnt way, a more casual gamestyle I suppose. Personally, I'm not so concerned about leveling, although I think it's cool to lvl up it's not the end all for me. I just like to do what I want...if that means that I mine ore for a week, or grind faction rep for two months straight so be it. I just don't want to get into that rat race of getting to 60 or 70 before I can scratch the itch on my ass.
But to each's own. We all play the way we want.

well said. I personally feel sad for that french person that got to level 70 in 28 hours... but well, he did it for the glory most probably and now will make a new blood elf/draenei character and start it all over....
I'm even worst than you, 2 years of wow (ok, i had lots of pauses and stuff) and my highest s 42
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"
I agree in the fact you should play the game how you want to.....BUT
Don't diss those people who have a different agenda. They set a challenge of being the first to 70. They planned it and executed the plan to perfection and succeeded in what they set out to do!
Just because we chose to play the game at a slower pace does not mean we should flame those who enjoy a different challenge.
I have read so many posts flaming this wee French fella..... why can he not be congratulated for completing a challenge he took on and achieved. Maybe now he will sit back and level normally with an alt, who are we to be judge & jury on other peoples ways of life?!?!
If we were all the same..... the world would be such a dull place!! we are all entitled to our opinions, just respect other peoples aims and challenges.
He maybe feels sad for him as he kind of missed the point with BC. That u shuld be out and experience it all, and not trying to hit 70 in the fastest possible way. Some persons can't stop seeing WoW as some sort of work that u HAVE to do. I mean getting to 70 is not some sort of work, u play to 70 and should experience all the areas and players u meet on ur way.
And this is fine. I wasn't flaming the fella for getting to 70 in less time than it takes to empty my bowels on a hot, sweltering Summer's day you know, heh. In fact, I think it was fabulous how perfectly he and his clan planned, executed and then carried out their objective! Fantastic! But, for me, it's just not the way. But as I said before, to each's own.

Yeah, but you're the perfect example of casual gameplay style. You've probably seen most of what the two continents in WoW have to offer simply by taking the side roads and doing the oddball exploring thing like I do at times that most folk would find very boring but not me, I love it, heh. The only bad thing is that I won't see any of the End Game content as I don't and basically simply can't do the RAID thing based on time I have to play the game...too bad for me, but oh well.
